What are everyone’s thoughts on the game

Postby mustiboi999 » Tue Nov 16, 2021 6:25 am

I personally don’t like the True Classic modes they are very toxic and too structured for my tastes
For me All Any (both Classic and coven) and Lovers are the best
TT is good ig and VIP sucks
Anyone wanna share their thoughts on the game

Ranked is fine but only for 2 or 3 matches per day

All any and coven all any the best

Lovers sucks, tt is good, vip is good

Crp is good

I think this game has great potential, but it struggles to reach it. I love how it's all about decision making and doesn't require any real time skills (which is why I'm not as interested in games like Among Us or TiS). Of course, it has a terrible community with trolls that keep coming back. It's almost impossible to have a game without a single rule break or someone who doesn't even try to win, although I'm not completely sure if the amount of leavers is related to some problem with the server or not. I think this game needs some way to attract new players, which is why I wish there were private lobbies (see my signature).

Regarding gamemodes, I mostly play RP because it's more relaxed than ranked and it doesn't have elitist assholes. I also like being able to use scrolls and getting away with stupid things when I'm evil. It's still very annoying that every game has multiple leavers and mafia is usually incompetent. I don't play other gamemodes besides the normal ones, as most of them are dead while AA is just unfair. I might play it some day to get some neutral wins, though. I also tried playing DP to get vampire/VH wins, but that gamemode it's just not fun for the vampires because of how OP VHs are (see the third link in my signature).

I'm not really interested in chaos modes and I don't own the DLC (I really don't like psychics, and the only interesting role from the DLC is the pirate in my opinion), but I must admit that kyuss made VIP sound pretty interesting with his multiple post about how it is actually balanced.

I still hope one day the game will have private lobbies. They would really help.
Also, please nerf vampire hunters.

The game is fun but it’s dead.
My Name Picks:

Royal Match - my default pick
Melon King - when someone named themselves Pumpkin King
Godfather - for role theme or to just bait people
Cottan Mother - to cause confusion

It's not dead, it's dying maybe.

Eh, it’s about 5000 players online average currently, up from 4000 a few months ago. Still far away from 9000 where it used to be.

That really doesn't mean dead. I'll say it's dead once it's impossible to start a game without a party.

Meaning you have absolutely no clue on what to expect so it’s obvious that people would sheep with the majority opinion
And tbh that’s kind of social deduction games in general

I think he was complaining about people lynching people just for the sake of it, rather than having some logical reason to do it. This doesn't happen in all social deduction games.

It's run by people who think that having an average of two people to manage a live service game is a good idea.
I know what I'm doing, generally, but I have no grace at all when things start to spin out of control.

I'd like to address the latter part, but I wouldn't know the first thing about that.

I swear everytime I see you post I just pity you more and more. Just leave the goddamn game if you're going to keep whining about it.

You evidently support it considering that your response to an argument being presented is "shut up".

You really have three options. You can keep being like that, you can try to disprove the statement, or you can just accept it. I'm inclined to guess you'll go for that first one, though.

I mean, I answered so no, I dont support it

That being said, it is kinda true what you say but you said the sane thing in another thread, which is spamming, and overall your contribution to the forums is very low

I dunno, how much does your apparent inability to refute me have to do with anything?

How does your inability to shut up and say something good does have to do with anything?

Fr it feels like

70% of your posts is complaining about deadlocks and jailor (even in posts that are not about that)
20% is saying some other stupid things
10% is actually saying something good

You're being so rude when all I'm doing is telling the truth that BMG believes that an average of two developers is sufficient to manage a live service.

I welcome you to disprove that at any time, if you can.

There's no "kinda" here, it just is true.

What alternative would you expect of me in a situation like this?

I miss how it used to be. I miss the mafia chat at night for spy. I miss the "stay home and clean yourself" option for arso. The game can still be fun, it's just not how it used to be. :/
