The COMPLETLEY REWORKED Beggar

Hello ma dudes/dudets

I have decided to completley rework the most versatile town role.... The Beggar.

Credits to Parallax the rework god for helping me with this rework.

Here is the rolecard

Beggar

Alignment: Town Support

Abilities: You may use an ability of your choice each night (NOT WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE I AM BAD AT WORDING OK?)

Attributes:
- You may investigate someone to know if they are Mafia/Coven.
- You may give someone a bulletproof vest which will give them a basic defense
- You may also use a roleblock which will stop a detrimental action
- You may only use these actions every 2 nights
- You may not use the same actons twice in a row
- Your target won't be notified of the roleblock

Goal: Lynch all criminals and evildoers

why do you think town needs a jack of trade town role with .5 actions a night, that does thing the existing town roles already do but only every other night, why does town need this, what does it add to the game?

This role is meant to give town a little bit more of a chance if they are running low on certain things (it is also good early game). The amount of times it can use a night action is close to irrelevant unless you think it could help balance the game.

I don't like a Jack-of-all-trades role. I feel like this is more powerful than most roles just due to that, plus it can do this every damn night.

At least make its ability on a cool down or limited.

I have been thinking of making the abilities 2 shot would this help?

@Lemonader I love that constructive criticsm and reasoning. I also love how you aren't telling me why JOAT's are bad.

1. Not as strong as sheriff which is arguably the weakest TI rooe
2. Maybe so
3. Let's be real here, escorts power comes from how confirmable they are. While yes this may be in ability terms buffed, It isn't as confirmable.

-Guard a player, giving them basic defense. They will not know they were protected if attacked, and you will not know either.
-Your role block is only interactive with non-town.
-You interrogate a player.

*Cannot use a ability in succession.
**Cannot use an ability three nights in a row.

Note: Yes I did help rework this. That doesn’t mean it’s going to become balanced. Although ~ I do think a JOAT has potential, and this role isn’t bad, honestly. It’s only potentially unbalanced ability is the role block which has a filter, but there wasn’t any thing else that really came to mind in terms of utility for town, and wasn’t confirmable.

Example :
N1: Interogate
N2: Guard
N3: Stay home
N4: Interrogate/Roleblock

JOATs are basically semi confirmable and we don’t need any hard claimable roles for Scum
RNG is never good for any strategy based game. Please learn the definition of what that means, especially if you're one of the people constantly defending it.

The abilities shouldn't be hard to fake if they aren't confirmable. Which these aren't.
