Your "finding scum" is me and Cow.

"The people accusing me of being scum are scum!" Yeah, you're right, how could I possibly not see how pro-town you are?

But literally anyone here can tell your argument is bad.

Riddle me this - what ""scum"" do you expect me to be and in what world at all would it make sense for me to act like this at all, if I'm apparently "scumbuddies lol memez xD" with Met and Von

How would he be scum with Met and Von? That makes no sense. Maybe one or the other, but it can't be both. And it's even unlikely for him to be scum at all.

Let's take some deep breaths. Yee? Yee.

Elastoid v. Neasans is TvT vibe here, Neasans isn't arguing with slack in the rope as per her usual scumgame and she is asking valid questions. Elastoid is poking holes in faulty reasoning.

Okay, with that out of the way...

Retral, why do you say that? What makes Cyantic more or less likely to be this messenger?

The timing of the message is one minute before you confirmed your spot and a few minutes before Cy confirmed his spot. It's you or him and I don't get a scum vibe from you. Cy has been acting scummy since the start. If you say it's not him, you admit it's you.

And I replaced in after the message was sent, so it's impossible to be me. That and my claim still holds.

UGH. Cy has NOT been acting scummy.

This "timestamp" thing is bullshit anyway. You have to assume so many things. First, that Neasans is telling the truth. Second, that Arc delivered the message in, like, 0 time. Third, that you can reasonably assess who was online at that time. They could have been online but not even browsing the FM forums. Fourth, that this is a message that is delivered DURING THE DAY, and not one that occurred during the time between rolecards being issued and the game starting (i.e. a "beginning of the day" ability) that Arc got around to sending later.

Really, the logical leaps people are ready to make here, and then insistently hold each other to, reason be damned, is atrocious.

There's two bottlenecks to squeeze through before any action occurs. The Transitive Property does not apply. Time logic and probability logic are bad to employ and unreliable for this reason.

Basically, since it's a two step process to do stuff in FM, trying to meta when messages are received is stupid.

Is he just really swamped (he did delay his other game)? I'm troubled that his few posts managed to only barely skirt relevance. Just vaguely pro-Retral and anti-Cyantic, then he disappears.

Again, maybe my second look will be different, but I'm going to be looking very hard at Retral, Neasans and Met.

Def, if you can show Von trying to push some sort of scum agenda rather than just being an idiot, that'd be helpful.

I really didn't see Met leaning on anyone really. Where did you get this?

TheCow hasn't said anything, and I don't find it awkward yet so; no. Do you believe your opinion is that of the majority or more outlier? Perhaps neither? Maybe you're playing the part of the provoker, either way I haven't been scum reading you on the first page, so progress I suppose.

I would have to say that I think you're wrong. My choice of adjectives is perfect for getting my unique flair across, Met. Redundancy is irrelevant, of course. If I wanted to spend time on making it simple, then I'd just be a regular old sensible player, and who wants that?

I believe that my opinion should be of the majority, but not necessarily the major opinion of the town here. I enjoy being the provoker and the snarker very much, Met.

this verbal flair of yours is sketched more dramatically than your avatar, I'll give you that

Heh. You pretend that the motivations aren't clear enough.

You're asking at Elastoid since he's posted but not actually posted. Specifically, you're trying to get a feel for Elastoid over a more stable read for Met. Would I be incorrect on this?

that's not pretending, the motivations aren't clear enough

The dodge. If it was flatly wrong, he would have refuted it instead of trying to side step it.

Improbable, Swords. Very improbable.

I would deduce that all four are somehow strong town reads - Met, Neasans, Retral, and I, otherwise you would be pushing on them. However, do you see anything alignment telling in Met? Unless you rule deliberately cautious/oblivious as town. And yet, abnormally risky of an assumption on Met/Neasans considering your play so far in this game.

I would, in fact, deduce that you're at least bluffing one two players of the four. So, Swords, I bring myself back to the original question. Maybe liven it up a bit and ask what you're seeing in them that I'm not.

you seem to be making more assumptions than what you claim he is assuming so I would like to hear your thought process on this

There WILL be a lynch at the end of the day (plurality lynch). But in terms of the number needed to hammer -- 51% of 9, so 7 votes.

Deferent, I'm considering the absolutely mind-blowing possibility that Neasans MIGHT be town (pretty much only because you and Swords are calling tvt), and I don't believe it, but if I were to indulge you... that makes the case against Von less scummy.

Now, I've got my own reason to believe Von's scummy, but in the meantime it would be just awesome if you could elaborate on why he's a better lynch than Met.

And Von, if you are town (which again, I don't believe), you can help your case by answering this question: What's your power?

To clarify, I know you've already stated you are citizen. I'm saying, re-look at your rolecard, clarify what you mean by "essentially" a citizen, and tell me what your power on your rolecard is. Paraphrasing, of course, so no, I'm not asking you to modkill. But try to be specific because there IS a correct answer that I'm looking for. And yes, this may be a trick question.

4|59 is 14.75.

14.75/2 is about 7.
