What about this scenario? I am the WW and the witch finds me N2. I take out 2 of the 4 mafias and a town that night when the witch controls me. The game goes on for two more nights. Then the witch blurts out in chat I am the WW. They do not even claim a role when they do this so I automatically know they are the witch and I claim investigator and say they are the witch and is lying about me being the WW. Another town confirms it and not sure how but the lookout claims I did not visit the persons that died the night the WW attacked. SO we hang the witch and the witch could have won with me but tried to throw me up to be hung. I knew my time was numbered and the next full moon I got hung after killing two more people. The witch then claimed I was game throwing because I got them hung. I said you knew I was the WW since N2 yet you tried to get me hung and did not try and work with me you game threw not me. They then said well why didn't you whisper to me who you were. I was like I figured you had a brain it tells you, I'm, the WW and you win with either the WW or the mafia yet you tried to throw me under the bus when there was only 1 mafia left. They just got pissed and left the game saying they reported me. SO who was game throwing the WW or the Witch?

In this situation you need consider person wincon v town wincon. If you can win but Town cannot, you betray Town and go for the win. If there were 2 Town v 1 vamp, you lynch the vamp.

I don't know if anyone has already said this, but I don't think it would be gamethrowing because you are switching teams. In order to gamethrow, you have to purposefully reduce your team's chance of winning. Once you are bit by the vampires, you are no longer part of the "town" team. By the logic of other people, anyone bit by a vampire would still be on the town team, therefore still having to try to make town win, which doesn't make sense.

if its sheerly escort v Vamp then purposely getting bitten shouldn't be gamethrowing. In a case like this, you need to consider your own wincon. Either you draw the game or you win, and it's clear to see what the superior choice is.

This is why I hate Vampire. It's a win stealer and if you are in this situation you have to force a tie and you don't get a win because it would be gamethrowing if you went with the Vampires. sigh

I wouldn't worry about it much. Draw isn't so bad, it's better than a loss.

And if you have to choose between a win and a loss (the example with mayor, Vamp Hunter, and two vamps), go for the win. Most likely you will not be reported, as I would consider that to be justifiable gamethrowing.

For example, I was Medium in All Any and I was about to win. But the last Vampire just HAD to bite me and die the same night, so I resulted in a loss. I hate Vampire.

We’re beating a dead horse. It’s gamethrowimg by the definition, but you’re not gonna get banned for it. When the devs first defines gamethrowing, they didn’t consider the idea of a role that forcibly changes your team. The original idea was to prevent mafia members from revealing the whole mafia, or town from deliberately not voting up a known evil cause their friend is on the other team.
