It is a very early gameplay so my hopes are not 100% lost but rn my expectations are not very high rn

I won't try it because I don't play Among us and currently I'm interested in other games. But what I like about ToS is how all actions are decided by buttons, so there are no chases or mechanical skills involved. This isn't present in among us.

This game will probably be among us with roles, unless I'm forgetting about something.

Would have MUCH preferred just, a direct sequel to TOS tbh. That's all the game really needed, not to be turned into an Among Us clone.

I don't think a sequel is needed, especially since this game isn't linear. Updates can add a lot. This game still has a lot of potential to grow (mostly in custom, especially if mods are allowed).

any "sequel" of town of salem would probably just come in the form of another DLC

regarding traitors in salem, yeah it's similar to among us. hopefully there will be more features that make it different enough to be considered an actually separate game

btw, this isn't backed up by any statistics but i think a lot of town of salem's success came from the game being available on browser. it lets low-end pc players play and doesnt take up computer storage
as such, i think traitors in salem should also be available browser

Agreed. For one thing, it makes it much more accessible to Linux users since Town of Salem never got Linux support on Steam.

That's not how programming works. If a code is poorly organized to the point to where you can't change a value of how many people to target, a sequel is the least of the programmer's worries

It'd be a code issue since targets available shouldnt be a thing to leave to the UI, else it'll make the code more of a mess to work with.

Should have some more role related videos coming out soon. Our first playtest was pretty basic so our friends and family that were part of the play test could get a feel for things. The focus was more on the core game play, map size, quest design, etc. Later today we will be posting the first video in a series talking about how different roles work, and showing how they work in game. This is alpha, so art, music, sound effects, npcs, etc are mostly placeholders or first drafts.

i mean, i like the idea of bringing tos into amongus with tos mechs.
but it looks like amongus with roles with weird animations
whats the night and day mechanic? please dont say it lowers your fov.
