I doubt this'll stop until we run that ritual. Recall:

It is in a language you can not even begin to identify although it has a drawing with a large star inside of a circle like the one Xer saw but instead of a skull in the middle of a star, it appears to be the statue in the foyer. Next to that is a crude drawing of the kings blood jar. At the points in the star there appears to be a drawing of herbs with "#64" and the flint and steel next to one. Lastly there is a drawing of Sword's sword but no context for it.

From what I can tell, we put the herbs at star-points around the statue and burn them. Perhaps the king's blood needs to be used as fuel. I'm willing to bet this sword is the only thing that works on her, and it's to buy us time to finish it.

Samuel, you've got the herbs, right? Line them up in the pattern, /I've got your back, beheading any cavemen that draw near and rebuffing Echo.

A caveman looks up just as a sledgehammer comes crashing down through its skull from Chubby. Samuel pulls out the herbs and rushes around the room, placing down at the points of the star, and as the second caveman reaches for Samuel, Sword steps in. He brings the sword to is head, but it brings its arm up, and only loses its hand. As the hands begin to crush Xer into the ground, Yau frees him with repeated hacking of his sword. The four cave make their way to the surface.

Echo: I tire of the struggle.

Echo snaps her fingers.

Echo: Submit to the collector.

Two undead samurai burst through the west second floor door and star sprinting down the staircase.

Xer's arrow, while aimed for the head, bounces off the samurai's though plated arrow. With the blood of the last caveman still coating his sledgehammer, Chubby refreshes the blood as his hammer obliterates another head. Samuel begins to smear the blood across the floor, starting with the circle. The last three cavemen rush over to Samuel, seeing his beginning the ritual. Yau hacks through the first one, leaving a beheaded corpse, but the second barrels into him, checking him to the floor with his club. The last two continue to Samuel, who swings his bar to keep them back. It causes one to stumble back, but the other leaps forward, and brings down his club on Samuel's head. Pain blossoms through Samuel's head as
as blood runs down his face. Ignoring the pain, Samuel gets most of the circle done, but runs right into the two Samurai.

The two samurais scream out something in Japanese and then launch ferocious attacks on Samuel. Samuel manages to block the attacks from one with his bar, but the second one sees its opening. Yau and Swords attempt to parry the attacks and counter attack, but the samurai manages to make it to Samuel, and swings his blade to behead him. The blade careens towards Samuel, who is barely able to move his head back in time, and the sword only leaves a small cut in his cheek. Chubby readies his hammer for another fatal swing, but this one is parried by the cave man's club. It counters with a swing at Chubby's head, and Chubby is too slow to dodge. The club crashes into his head, sending Chubby to the ground, blood blurring his vision. As he tries to get back to his feet, he looks up at the second caveman, his club high in the air. It brings it down into Chubby's head, his skull obliterated like a ripe melon. Chubby's body drops and lays motionless, his head a bloodied mess leaking onto the tile.

Xer lets loose an arrow, but it flies into the ground, serving only to enrage the cavemen, who rush at Xer. The samurai keep going after Samuel, who is able to complete the circle and begins work on the star. The first samurai rears back for a massive hack at Samuel, but seeing this Sword swings his sword at his arm, and disarms the first samurai. The second samurai yells something in Japanese, and the rushes through both Sword and Yau, who try in vain to stop him, and reaches Samuel. He chops into Samuel's leg, sending him crashing to the ground, the jar rolling out of his hands. Samuel tries to get back to his feet, but collapses back to the floor, seeing one of his Achilles severed. The cavemen reach Xer, swinging their clubs wildly, but Xer manages to dodge the assaults.

Echo: As one has fallen, you understand your precarious position. You understand that you must submit.

Ghostly hands rises from the floor once more, but don't manage to grab anyone. From the ground, despite the pain, Samuel disarms the samurai who crippled him. Yau follows up and thrusts his sword forward, managing to find a weak point in the Japanese armor, and his sword glides through the undead creatures neck. It drops to the floor and wriggles around as it bleeds out. Sword tries to recreate this with the last samurai, but his attempt is fouled by the heavy armor. The disarmed samurai then tries to tackle Sword, but a well timed dodge leaves the undead on the ground, and the living unharmed. Xer runs past the cavemen and grabs the sledgehammer from Chubby's hands. The first one arrives and his attack is parried by Xer, who sends his newly found hammer through the caveman's head. The last cavemen swings his club at Xer, who is unable to block it, but it only results in a glancing blow. Sword then grabs the jar and continues to smear the blood with his hand, completing half of the star before Echo appears in his path. Her ghostly face reveals a smile as she approaches him.

Echo: You will be a favored one in my collection. Let me show you my favored.

From the second floor of the foyer a band of undead misfit rush out from a door. Leading the pack is a massive viking, at least seven feet tall, wielding a massive axe. The next is a knight, covered entirely in steel armor, holding a shield and spiked mace. The third is a gladiator, a retiarius, with his signature net and trident, and his exposed chest. The last is a Zulu, naked except for a loin cloth, and wielding a shield and spear.
