Chubby retraces his stepsand ends back in the foyer and meets with the others. Sword recalls the instructions.

It is in a language you can not even begin to identify although it has a drawing with a large star inside of a circle like the one Xer saw but instead of a skull in the middle of a star, it appears to be the statue in the foyer. Next to that is a crude drawing of the kings blood jar. At the points in the star there appears to be a drawing of herbs with "#64" and the flint and steel next to one. Lastly there is a drawing of Sword's sword but no context for it.

Everyone's together, so back to the thread.

Chubby grabs the cleaver and hurls it back at the chef, who manages to dodge it. Xer follows up with an arrow, and the ghoul isnt fast enough this time and it pierces through its neck. It let's out a low grunt as Yau slashes at its arm, managing to cut into it but only slightly. Samuel jabs the bar forward but the chef feels back in time to dodge it completely. He then swings a cleave at Yau, but Yau parries it with his sword.

Xer's arrow flies overhead, missing entirely. Chubby reaches for the impaled arrow, but the chef swings, causing Chubby to jump back instead. This leaves him open to a swing by Yau, who drags his blade across the ghoul's chest. Pouring out blood, it drops to the ground and Sword cleaves his great sword through its neck. It's chef hat falls off as the head roles away and the body crashes to the floor.

Chubby sees a cabinet, filled with small drawers, each one having a number on them 1-100. You look through a few and find they're each a different herb.

....I'd love to say we'll backtrack back to the library to get the book for a direct comparison, but there may or may not be ghostly hands demanding us to return the items we've taken.
The sword itself can cut it, but, it's questionable whether i can hold them ALL back or not.
