People have been saying that it is pointless, annoying and looks like a death message

Developers said in response that it is to help the new players and that they are planning a colour change

While the colour change seems acceptable enough but maybe with the help of upcoming update the tutorial the message itself won't be really that necessary after all?

Somewhat agree also. Its helps new players, though I wish it can be removed or turned off somehow.

It should be cyan like the full moon message or clear like he disguiser message.
Unless it's daytime in which color doesn't matter.

It doesn't just help new players. It helps us to prevent bug reports of why X thing didn't happen. It is there to tell players that even if you selected a message latency may have caused the server to not receive the message(Which we were getting many reports of before it was added).

Would changing the color be acceptable though? I think most players freak out a bit because the red message closely resembles the one saying you are dead.

I am all for changing the colors, I actually saw this post before we patched and tried to get us to squeeze it in, but there wasn't time.

It's actually not a server issue if I'm remembering correctly. If what I'm recalling is accurate, any online multiplayer game ever has that kind of latency issue where the server needs to check to see if you did a thing (such as pressing the button) to affect the game itself, and has to do it in a limited space of time. Its why even if you change your mind, say, two seconds before night ends it still goes through, because the latency didn't pick up you had un-clicked the button. Nothing you can do about latency.

It is due to your location, not our servers. The further you are from a server the more latency you will have. It may also be your ISP if it is intermittent. If it was universal lag, then that would be us, but this is generally felt by players overseas. Our only servers are in Dallas, Texas.

I'd prefer there to be a "confirm script" at the end of the night that confirms who you visited. many times when I am Sheriff or Investigator I visit X just to change target the last few seconds. I'm then confused whether or not my interrogation actually went to X (first target) or to Y (after the change).

I welcome a color change with open arms! The Red Bar is on lots of other night texts so a new color would definitely be cool!

Changing the color to something like a light blue or orange would work.

Right now as it is, it looks to similar to being killed.

I don't think it should be removed because it's a good way of seeing if the server didn't pick up what you did.

I think the retri message for daychat should be like the "You did not perform your day/night ability", but in amnesiac colour. I always oversee that :/

Don't mind it at all to be honest , the fact it's the same as the death colour doesn't really change much as long as you pay attention, and anyway the red flash makes it fairly obvious you died.
