After the events that took place in December, I had asked you guys if you would like to see more events in the future. The feedback was extremely positive! Ask and you shall receive, so around three months later I'm proud to host yet another forum event.
This event was to be scrapped, but...by popular demand...it will be run!

So...how does this work?

As much as it pains me to say it, this event isn't a hunt. I know, Easter usually has egg hunts and we don't do a hunt. But, Easter also has something else, and that's egg decorating!
Yep, you heard me. Egg decorating. You won't be running around the forums with riddles to follow in hopes of finding a present for twenty-five days straight. Oh, and you won't be grabbing eggs from your fridge and painting them. Too much work. Instead, you're gonna design an egg!

About the Event

This event is all artistically orientated! Use the template and design your egg.

• How you design your egg is up to you!
• You must use the template provided.
• You may add anything you like.
• Submissions must be appropriate and within forum rules.
• If you trace/heavily reference artwork, OR directly use artwork in your egg, please provide links to the sources for the purpose of crediting.
• Anyone may join; this includes you, mods!

Submitting & Scoring

• 12th-28th: Submissions will be open. During this time should you come up with a design you will PM me (Nellyfox).
• 28th*: Submissions close.
• 29th-April 4th: Community voting. That's right, you as the community get to pick the winners. The three designs with the most votes will receive the prize. Please note voting is anonymous and no names will be given out.

*Submissions will close March 28th at 11:59PM EST (UTC - 5).

How to Submit:

Private Message me your egg with the subject being [Your Username] Easter Event Submission. Follow the subject or your submission will be invalid. It's not that hard to follow and it's for organization purposes.

Rules of the Event

• DO NOT DISCUSS THE EVENT WITH OTHERS. This is critical. We don't want names of designers slipping out, as we don't want the forum-wide voting to become biased. This is why names won't be given out in the first place, so you can't vote for your friends just because they're your friend. You are free to share your egg after the event ends.
• All forum rules apply. We'll keep this thread open, so naturally some chatter is okay. But keep posts here within the rules and don't turn the thread into a chat thread.
• One submission per account. Using alternative accounts to get more submissions in is not allowed.
• It is preferred that you private message questions to me, so you get the correct answer.

Event Prize

I had a poll and asked you guys, and one of the most popular prize options was username modifications. I asked TurdPile if I could do this and got the okay, so for this event, the three community winners will receive a fancy username glow! (See my username for example)

Hey I use paint tool sai and I noticed that the template opens oddly. Is this how it's supposed to look? http://gyazo.com/de1e0a8285db94a26260c5119d3aec32 If it's supposed to look like that I'm okay, but if it's not do you have a clue on how I could fix it? I tried copy and pasting the image as well but it just turns the image black. I would appreciate the help because I would like to participate in this event ;-;

I actually have no idea why it's doing that. o_O I have SAI as well and it's doing weird things. Huh.

Yes I have been saving the image. Saving it from Imgur just seemed to add lines. I don't know what's wrong >///< http://gyazo.com/943d2a0fc7c777911f4e58892aabc232 *Edit* Just tried using MS Paint and it works perfectly fine. I think the template just isn't compatible with Paint tool sai.

I'd also save the template as a project for file (PSD or whatever SAI opens as also)

I would ask that you add a background to the egg so that users can use a layer mask and draw only on top of the BG, not outside the line art, not on top of the line art etc.
This would only work in a project file also.
