I'll posit to you the Cultist's Dilema.
The cultist fiercely believes that a being perfect such as a messiah exists. That violates all probability, but they will not change their minds on this.
The cultist also believes that successfully betraying twice in the game is impossible and thus they have the right to resort to violence. Even though this is not impossible at all. Dead people still exist in the game and their vote defaults to Ally, as Jack himself pointed out. When faced with this improbability-- although possible-- they simply believe it can't possibly happen.
This is, of course, a paradox. And reveals several things about their faith, about their morality, and their general beliefs.
