I'm tired, Rin. I've been told by.. several people, that I'm notoriously hard to hold a grudge. I want nothing more for us to come out of this crucible all the stronger for it. And ...considering you've addressed almost every problem I've had with you, and saved us all from Ocicath, and cleared my name, well... I find it increasingly hard to hold any ill will I previously had against you. But I know you are a very different person than I am, really. Like entirely different actually. So the most I can do is offer the olive branch first, hoping you'll accept it and really, really mean it this time.

I live in a world where, yes, it is that simple. I want to believe in the good of humanity. And I, forbid someone laughs at my words, want to believe the good in you, as well.

She shakes her head, smiling, before holding out her hand towards Rin.

..There's nothing else I might have the mind to ask, so unless anyone else has anything, I suppose I will follow Danny and Jack's example. I dare to hope so strongly, I shall will it into existence.

You know, it gives me a small, very small point of satisfaction to know you haven't figured every bit about me out yet. It isn't much, and honestly, it's a lot nicer not to deal with any pretense regarding my situation if every secret is on the table. But it's still rather humorous.
