Danny. You're at five. You betrayed in the first round. So Elizabeth returned the favour.

Is treating others as they wish themselves to be treated not a principle of your cult?

And Elizabeth, do you actually think I believe you just ignored what I told you, RIGHT when we went in? You're sticking up for Michael, and I don't get it.

I'll posit to you the Cultist's Dilema.

The cultist fiercely believes that a being perfect such as a messiah exists. That violates all probability, but they will not change their minds on this.

The cultist also believes that successfully betraying twice in the game is impossible and thus they have the right to resort to violence. Even though this is not impossible at all. Dead people still exist in the game and their vote defaults to Ally, as Jack himself pointed out. When faced with this improbability-- although possible-- they simply believe it can't possibly happen.

This is, of course, a paradox. And reveals several things about their faith, about their morality, and their general beliefs.

No. I don't. From the start of the game, even before the first vote, you had something against me.

Even before we met, you hated me. Why?

"What the fuck are the odds of that happeneing twice, Rin? What are the odds that happens and you and Michael decide to stop being assholes and ally? How about Torgev going along with it too? We had one of them happen, in hindsight, but that's one of the more likely one of the 4 stars that would need to align."

As I stated earlier, I did not vote.

I assumed my vote defaulted to betray as that was what our group vote was.

Actually, when inside the voting booth, I was talking to Saeki about the people I was willing to ally. There is more than one person who I would do so to. I don't know why you think I'm incapable of allying. I'm not. I just require more before I can trust someone. If I had to go against Elizabeth again for instance, I probably wouldn't betray her.

You go a long way to twist our words and motives, y'know?

I know it's hard for someone like you to grasp this, but perhaps you're the one at fault? Can you even entertain that thought?

She shakes her head.

It just astounds me. How can two men who believe so strongly in a god have so little faith in their odds of making it out alive through the game?

Maybe you should enlighten your fellow rats, then? You owe them that much, don't you?

Saeki moves away from Ocicath and towards everyone else as he talks.
Really, this has all been a bit of a... life-changing experience, for all of us, hasn't it? We're all realizing things we never had before. What a game...
