Why would it need to be anonymous? Wouldnt that encourage underhanded tactics?

I'm going to disperse everyone a number that I'll shuffle up.

When you get your number, read it to yourself and do not share it.

I'd suggest eating it to destroy the evidence.

spretznaz wrote:Why would it need to be anonymous? Wouldnt that encourage underhanded tactics?

It is already anonymous for what chalices are poisoned and drunk from. To hide which chalice you'll choose will prevent you from being targeted by anyone who doesn't like you.

And I assume you'll shuffle the numbers and allow us to pick, then?

If you would like, but it wouldn't matter if I allowed you to pick or not. If I wanted to rig this, it'd happen either way.

I tried moving Lola from her spot after you left, but she was too heavy so I just left...

Where does that blood come from?

So you're basically the only one who needs to be trusted upon for this to work, by the whole group?

In a way, I suppose, I see it as something better than leaving it up to chance. I can't confirm to prevent the loss of life from this, but I can at the least try to minimize it.

If you were to put your trust in someone, I'd reckon I'm the best for the job if you consider that you all know my story and why I'm here, compared to everyone else here. Although, killers tend to not be trusted.

So you are saying that anyone could have done it. That's awfully convenient.

That's the whole point of the Decision Game - to force you to put your faith in others.

Dante rips the paper into eleven pieces and then writes a number on each of them.

Dante shuffles up the papers and hands one to everyone present, minus Zero.

Note your number, do not say it or hint to it, and keep it hidden if possible. I suggest eating it.

We should go check on the bakery once we are done here. Immediately.

Schultz128 wrote:The solution here is obvious.

We will all poison the same chalice, and will drink from each chalice except for the one we poison. We will poison Chalice #12.

To have anonymity, I suggest we draw papers or straws with a number written on them, to hide which chalice you drink from.

Why draw numbers?

In theory, you could poison a cup that isn't #12, and have written that number eleven times.

At that point you'd just do what I said and immediately ... win? I assume that'd be enough to end everything going on, being the only one alive that is. Other than Zero of course.

Draw numbers and you hide what number you will draw from. It prevents someone from directly trying to target you, or at least hampers it. It's better than leaving it to chance.

I don't believe in that. The ends do not justify the means if the innocent are hurt in the process of my revenge. How could I be fine with hurting those not responsible when the same thing occurred to me 55 years ago? It'd be shameless and petty, and overall unremarkable of myself.

I would like to reiterate: there is nothing we can do to completely ensure that no one will be poisoned. With absolutely no punishment to those that betray the group, the chances of it occurring are higher than normal.

All I can do is attempt to minimize our losses and provide something better than leaving it to fate, I don't believe in fate.

A solution to that would be for everyone to announce which cup they have drunk from, after they drink but before the next person does.

That would alleviate at least some funny business.

Tell that to the people you killed...

I'm just going to drink from any one I feel like that isn't #12. If people want to follow the paper that's fine, but isn't it also fine to drink one at random?

I'm trying to find ways to weasel out of this... But it seems we have no choice but to listen to birdman.

Actually...Darby is onto something there.

If the poison kills within the hour, then we just need to wait to see if the first person to drink will die or not after they announce their chalice.
