"That's the spirit. Are you ready for one last hit?" He grins.

“‘Last’...l-like I h-haven’t heard that a l-lot lately.”

Ivy seems to be grinning a little despite this.

The Larkspur casino is a fancy venue for the wealthy and daring to try their luck. It isn't Vegas, but it has a bit of charm regardless. There are slot games, wheel of fortune, poker, the usual. Music plays on the background. Near a table of blackjack is a man, who you've never seen before. A random dude who does not look like Ace in the least, you merely saw Ace in his place during your coma dream.

A door near the back is guarded by two security guards. They look rather serious business.

"What's the password?"

Ace walks up to them.

"Miami Crocodiles."

The guards nod. The guards check your bodies with a metal detector before you're able to go through. Wherever your weapons were two months ago are long gone from being admitted into the hospital. Once done, they make way and open the door for you.

"Best of luck, friends. Richard is waiting inside."

Ace grins at you four. He leaves the casino shortly after.

The VIP room...

The four venture inside.

As you walk into the room, you notice that for how spacious it is, a blond man in a white tux and blue undershirt is one of the only two people in here. He sits at what looks to be a modified pool table turned into a fancy poker table, with a gray surface glowing light blue. Chips are all stacked on his side of the table, right next to him, with the same style as the table itself. There seems to be 4 large benches that could fit several people each on the sides of the table. On the same bench as him, sitting away from him as much as physically possible, is the woman from the warehouse. She is wearing an expensive crimson party dress, looking sorrowful and uncomfortable. The man in tux shoots her looks every now and then, exchanging words, increasing her discomfort.

Behind him is a bar with a new age chandelier with circular bulbs sticking out. It has plenty of bar stools. The liquor behind it looks very expensive. There is a roulette wheel and other games.

Across the room there is a sort of exposition like a museum for weapons. Swords, axes, katanas -- weapons from medieval age, spanning all the way to the present, with actual guns such as revolvers and shotguns on display. There's also various priceless artifacts, including the Ark, placed on a pedestal in the middle of the 'museum'.


The man notices you four approaching his table and ceases pestering the woman. He looks surprised, but quickly his expression resumes to smug. He speaks up, and you know exactly who he is.

"Well, well, well. Look who's alive and kicking."

“Th-That’s right. Th-Thought you could just toss us out once y-you were done with us, r-right?”

Yep. And I think you can guess why we're here, big fella.

"Precisely. Man, people can't do a simple job nowadays." He scoffs.

"No matter. It's obvious you've come here for a simple reason. What do you say we settle this with a good ol' fashioned game of poker? Winner takes it all."

Belladonna matches his smug look, as though to mock him by mimicking it, for just a moment before switching to a cold glare after his comment about a poker game.
You say that as though I don't want your ass dead. I couldn't give less of a shit where th' stuff goes. I'm here with a personal grudge.

We don't have anything to bargain with. You made sure of that.

Ever since I've woken up in this damn city, every has just been talking. Everyone keeps talking, even though there's nothing left to say.

So just shut the fuck up and deal the hand.

"I'm a very good player. So let's do it as such: I will play each of you individually. If I lose once, I will lose my stake: my own life. If I win against all of you, however, then your lives will be mine to rid of. How's that sound?" He smirks.

“...d-deal. I’ll play f-first.”

An' if you lose, how can we trust that you'll let yourself die like that? You lied t' us b'fore.

"I pinky promise." He smirks. "Let's go."



Ivy sits down at the table. The man preps shuffles the cards before dealing them.

"I'll be skipping the pre-flop part. Folding is giving up."

Flop: 7 of spades, 7 of hearts, 10 of hearts.

Richard places the two cards face down at Ivy, then picks his own to cards and looks at them.

"I go all in."

Ivy looks at her cards, studying them.

“...C-Call.”

One more card is placed. King of spades.

"I see you sigh, Ivy. You already admitted defeat in your mind. I've already won." He smirks.

“M-Maybe some other time I’d agree with you, b-but not anymore.”

“As am I. Flip the card.”
