Intercessor (Town Protective)
You are a devout disciple of God who prays for the safety of others.

Abilities:
-At night, choose 2 people, praying for one's safety from the other.
-If your second target tries to visit your first target, they will be stopped by God. (Roleblocking them)
-You can only pray for yourself once. (This will protect you from all attacks, like a Bodyguards vest.)
-You will be notified when your prayer was acted upon.

Attributes:
-Your prayer will stay in effect until you've successfully stopped that person from visiting.
-You must rest every 3rd night from the strenuous task of praying, resting on the 2nd night will allow you to pray for 2 more nights. (Getting Roleblocked will count as resting, but getting plundered/jailed will not.)
-Your prayers can still be answered even after you die.
-Ignores roleblock immunity
-It takes 1 night for your prayer to take effect.

Investigative Results:
Investigator: Your target could be an Escort, Transporter, Intercessor, Consort, or Hypnotist.
Consigliere: Your target owns many books of worship, they must be the Intercessor.

Messasges:
"You have decided to pray for ____'s safety."
"You are worried that ____ might do harm."

"God has stopped ___ when trying to visit ___!"

"Your devotion to God is an arduous task, you must rest for a night before praying again."

It's similar to the Hunter role that you shared a while ago, except now it doesn't confirm itself as easily, which I like. I support.

Yes, your prayers stay in effect after you die. Thanks for noticing!

Although a name change is probably a good idea as Paladin doesn't quite fit.

i think it fits any better ideas?

paladins are people who protect others in the name of god kinda seems like a perfect fit to me

possibly but there are many roles made by people with that name all ready cause its really generic a priest can be any role that's magical and town

also throne of lies has a role with that name that is basically the ret + medium i think and isn't even close to this role

make sense for the roles name to be less generic to me even if the name fits paladin fits too

Kirize12 wrote:It doesn't matter in the end, but it just seems iffy. Also kinda similar to Crusader.

well they are both people who fight in the name of religion thats about it though

paladins more righteous and serve to protect others

while a crusader kills anyone who the deme a blasphemer for whatever small reason in the name of religion

yea priest and paladin do both fit preist a pretty generic name though :P

The way I understand it is that 1 target must attack the other. If that's true, what are the odds that would happen. seems a little weak to me.

its permanent effect it lasts more then one night so each night the odds go up exceptionally

you would also use this on someone you suspect of being evil and someone you want to save it wouldnt be random so odds go up even more that

Like what Mystoc said, it is a permanent effect. If you think someone is evil, you can have that player be your first target every time. You can protect many people at once, but only against 1 player.

Oh, I didn't realize it was permanent, makes sense now.

Everything seems good.... except the name, a Paladin has a sword.....

I suggest Either Monk or Cleric since their both about prayers

Definition of Paladin:

pal·a·din
ˈpalədn/
nounhistorical
noun: paladin; plural noun: paladins
any of the twelve peers of Charlemagne's court, of whom the count palatine was the chief.
a knight renowned for heroism and chivalry.

When you make a role it and the name suppose to make sense

Your pretty much calling the SK a Mafioso and the Serial Killer the guy to the Godfather

Like a Paladin doesn't pray he heals and attacks with his sword

A Monk Obv Prays

And Cleric Prays and Cast Spells

You did not explain what MaskedPokerFace meant. I won't use the name Cleric or Monk because they're very commonly used role names.

i understood this;
n1 i will choose 2 target like witch
target is player a
victim is player b (you gave him a vest)

if player a visits player b ,they were roleblocked? only a? or two of them? and if player c attaks player b at same night, player c recieves "your target defence is high" message

Only the first target is roleblocked.

No, your 2nd target is only protected from your 1st target. (Any other attackers will kill normally.)

sorry i didnt see any difference between doctor and paladin doctor is more balanced. your character is like Tporter, transporter swaps GF and gf's victim and gf shot themself , and if you have rbd your first target so why did you give a vest player b???

The Transporter can deflect the kill onto the attacker, while this stops the ability completely.
The Transporter affects all visitors, while this only affects 1 visitor of your choice.
The Transporters ability only lasts 1 night, while this lasts until player 1 visits player 2, but takes 1 night for the ability to activate.

There are some obvious similarities with the Transporter, (as well as the Trapper) but there are some major differences as well.
MaskedPokerFace wrote:and if you have rbd your first target so why did you give a vest player b???

You're right, I am not sure why I added the second part.

The name is the easiest thing to change. If this role were to be added, the developers can choose a name that they prefer.
