  • [Player name] has chosen to poison [Player name] tonight.

Additional Information:
  • The Avvelenatore works by removing 1 ability/charge from a role. Example, the Jailor loses an execution if poisoned by an Avvelenatore. Basically, this can remove 1 charge from all roles that has limited uses.
  • If poisoned a player that doesn't have any charge, they will instead not be notified that they were doused, controlled, roleblocked, etc. They will, however, still be able to receive any ability feedbacks (investigation results, visits, etc). This only applies to roles that doesn't have any charges, while this won't take effect if the role has charges.
  • If a Doctor or Bodyguard was poisoned, they will lose 1 self-heal/1 vest.
  • If the Avvelenatore's target was jailed, the action will not be successful. They will also lose 1 poisoning.
  • If a revealed Mayor is poisoned, their vote will count as 2.

Notifications:

"Someone has dropped off a box of delicious pastries at your house, and you have decided to eat them. You have now been poisoned!"

That's the best I could come up with.

It shouldn't take away ret's revive or medium's seance. Keep that the way you have it.
Taking away one of mayor's votes? I could go for this. Others may disagree.

Why can't it just be called chef?

Overall, I like the role. I would like playing as this.

Do you think that the poisoned player should receive a feedback about being poisoned?

Ya know let them figure that out on their own. I mean if you are poisoned you're probably not going to know right away unless you're dying on the spot.

In which case RIP.

The problem is that, if this role was added in the game, there would be numerous reports in Bug Reports because they lost 1 ability when they didn't know there was an Avvelenatore.

Because it's not, Avvelenatore in Italian is quite literally translated into "Poisoner", and the mafia is technically Italian decent, so it fits very well. I really like how literal the name is :D

This role is very well made and I like it!

This role is very well made, kind of a reverse doctor for the mafia, which is pretty cool. One problem: this has been suggested before a a town support but they heal everyone besides like one time that they can poison someone. But this is kind of different than that so I'd say that this is one of the best roles I've seen out there. :)

I like this role. It is a bit like a swingier, buffed Consort, but I think that it would have very different strategies from the Consort. Also, can you make a list of which roles are immune and which ability roles with multiple abilities (such as Arsonist) lose?

It takes away an ability usage, but does not prevent them from using their ability that night, which distances it from the consort. It also has limited uses, unlike the consort.

I suggest the message is, "You ate some mysterious food you found. You were poisoned." I really like the role and I like that it is limited because it is super powerful. If you fail to poison someone when they're in jail, do you lose 1 poisoning?

I like it. Although I kind of need more information on what it removes exactly.

Does it only remove roles with charges (limited uses) or does it also remove abilities? Because you have there that it removes the mayor' ability (debatable) but every other role u mentioned was removing a charge. So I am just unclear if it is charge specific or extends to other non-charge abilities.

Ah i missed this, i suppose this answers my question.

In that case, i do not think it should have any effect on a mayor. Decreasing the mayor's revealed vote to 2 seems a little to ticky-tacky.

A reverse Doctor is technically a killing role, because the opposite of heal is kill. Anyway, thanks for your feedback!

Matthew's Auditor better fills this niche.

Also, if I made it like the Auditor then it will be too overpowered for Mafia.

Would be too overpowered. If the Jailor jails the Mayor, the Avvelenatore can simply target the Mayor and the Jailor will be poisoned instead, losing 1 execution from them.

Maybe make it like Janitor and Disguiser. If your target is jailed, your poisoning fail and you lose one action. This role is nice, but the name give my tongue a twist.

The No side is losing. We must band together citizens of the world.

Votes are not charge abilities. And if the role can take away a seance(the only seance really) for a medium, which is basically taking away its day ability when its dead, might as well take away the mayor's ability to reveal entirely. (in terms of semi equal comparison)

Going off topic on the medium though, i definitely think it should have more than 1 seance.

:ugeek:
