It's ability should corrupt other people in the town, making them able to win with you, but can still win with their faction.
For example: When visiting twice, that player is allowed to win with you. (On third visit, they defect to your side completely?) Alive on your own, you're vote only counts as one. If you had the power to corrupt, even if it takes forever, you'd get 3 votes, and even 4 if you're really lucky.

I think the only way to keep this role balanced, would be to give it the power to corrupt & remove it's mafia win condition. Any other cond. would make it so strange, it's unplayable.

I may be misinterpreting here, but what you're saying is that when you corrupt someone, their vote becomes yours, right?
If so, a game would go like this:
N1: Player X (the Banker) bribes Player C (a Mafioso)
D2: Player C loses the right to vote (disguised as voting for the same person as Player X)
N2: Player X bribes Player C again
D3: Player C gains the ability to win with Player X (and vice versa) and loses his vote for the rest of the game.
And the game would go on from there. And, since this scenario artificially adds the Mafia win condition, there would be no need to explicitly state it.

Is that what you were thinking?
Also, I might not add the completely defecting part since that might (I say again, MIGHT) be a little too OP.

Looking at the OP, which has been greatly edited since I last read this, I prefer Nsa's version over kookies (sorry) as Nsa's is a lot more simpler then kookies.

As of right now, I like the banker role after the edits, I suggest people who looked at the banker in it's early stages take another look at the edited version and hopefully you will have better opinions on the banker.

Thanks. Now, if only people would bump this so it could be viewed by even more people.

So Mafia can't kill you? So this is basically just a Mafia Support role?

And why would a Banker bribe someone? It makes no sense.

No support.

1) My eyes hurt from staring at your profile image. Where'd you get it? :)
2) It wouldn't make historical sense for the Mafia to kill a Banker, so you're right, it's pretty much a Blackmailer buff. But if it's a BM buff, then that would make the BM too OP. So I made it a NeutralEvil. I would have made it NeutralChaos, but Vampires are Chaos, and some of the louder forum commenters hate Vamps.
The Banker has a lot of money. What do you do with money? Bribe someone, of course! You are probably the only one who asked that question.

Don't worry, that wasn't the stupidest question I've seen. Far from it, in fact.

I saw your "limited blackmailer" change, I really like this role now, it's simply not a better bm'er anymore :D

Thanks. Yeah, it's not a better blackmailer, it's better than the blackmailer!

Uhhhh no. It is much better then politician Imo, it doesn't have the restrictions that make politician UP.

I don't get where the crap that got you to say something like that came from.

I would agree with someone (idk who rofl) who said this fits Neutral Chaos, definitely. And there you go, finally Vampires are not the only Neutral Chaos.
I'd offer a few additions. You are immune to roleblocks(cuz money buys stuff ya know) and you are immune to blackmails(the blackmailer won't be notified, but you will that someone attempted to BM you.) An immune Neutral Chaos role that buys votes is cool. Although, I would suggest this role to not be able to win with either Mafia or Town. They can win with vampires though. (Makes it interesting since vamps can't convert this guy). The only problem I see, what role to claim when asked?

Note: You should not be able to bribe a revealed mayor, (or should you? 3:) ) but if you do bribe a mayor that is unrevealed, your vote should count as 4.

Unfortunately, the connotation of "NeutralChaos" is Vampire, and people (including me) do not like the Vamps. Yes, the role is basically designed to throw everyone off, which is pretty much the definition of chaos, but few would consider this a good role just for the alignment. Sorry, I can't control culture. :(

I will keep the Mayor bribe ability because it will be really obvious that the Mayor is bribed. At that point, the Town (and maybe Mafia) would divert their attention to finding the Banker. I will not include the Blackmailer and Escort/Consort immunity. That's just too OP. No one likes OP. OP is BAAAAAAAAAD!!
Although... I think the Vampires SHOULD be able to convert him. The Vamp immune list is already too long, and they would rid the town of a rather major annoyance.

As to what role to claim? Use your own judgement. I would suggest a TownInvestigative such as Lookout.
