Testing Grounds Devlog

    TG 2.5
  • Interface overhaul. Header colours changed and how the phase buttons and clock are displayed.
  • /seance - Usable by a dead medium, sets up a private chat with the person specified, only usable once, unless the medium modifier is removed and added again.
  • /roll - Rolls a dice, usable by the mod.
  • /random - Choose a random person, usable by the mod
  • /help - Shows some useful information, as well as a command list.
  • /silence - Usable by admins, silences a player for the current phase.
  • Ban system changed. Bans now persist after server reset.
  • Checkbox to allow or disallow custom roles from rolling.
  • 'Auto button' to change to a preset rolelist for the amount of people in the game.
  • Automod - Modding interface to allow standard roles to be automated.
    Roles automated completely (bug testing in progress):

    Retributionist Messages for the revived player and retrib, as well as an announcement. [Done, needs testing]
    Jailor (execute) Sk doesn't kill Jailor.
    Janitor Clean button doesn't work properly. [Fixed, needs testing]
    Spy Doesn't see who mafia visits. [Fixed, needs testing]
    Disguiser Same error that doc had, needs to check that the target is valid before disguising.
    Escort Issues occur when two roleblockers block an sk. [Fixed, needs testing]
    Serial Killer Roleblocking isn't stopping the kill correctly.[Fixed, needs testing]
    Consort Issues occur when two roleblockers block an sk. [Fixed, needs testing]

    Godfather Working, but I need to change the way it works for mafia tactical.
    Vigilante Working, but stuff like guilt and shots still needs to be done.
    Sheriff Works fine, but needs some code to handle the werewolf's differing night results.
    Bodyguard Vesting still needs to be done.

    TG 2.6
  • /jail [target] command for Jailor added. Only usable at Day.
  • Invest Results for every Role added (Automod) WIP
  • Mod can now read the /seance chat from the medium at Night.
  • /seance [target] command can only be used once per game (resets if time is set to PREGAME).
  • Doctor will no longer receive a notification, if the protected target was killed due to roleblocking WW or SK.
  • /back can only be used if /afk has been typed before (And other way around).
  • You do not have a role. → You were not assigned a role, yet.

    TG 2.7
  • Features:
    • MUSIC! For each Phase :)
    • Will Button now got an Image instead.
    • /spectate is a thing now... Though it does nothing yet ^^
    • Link added under Actions for MOD to link people (Psychic)
    • Rain Dancer automated (Though the Results are not quite right yet...)
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Every Role can target now (As can Distributor do Multi now etc.)

    TG 2.7.1
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Vigilante can shoot N1
    • Medium can seance dead players
    • Medium can seance themselves
    • Medium can seance mod
    • Medium in jail still can post in deadchat
    • If the Mod is a Werewolf they get the Transformation message
    • The Executioner has no nightimmunity
    • If the night was stopped the automod does not process anything.
    • Roleblocker may not get message of having roleblocked the Serial Killer when healed
    • One can disguise as an attacked, but immune role
    • Werewolf can target on odd nights

    TG 2.8 - The Wintery Update
  • Features:
    • It's Snowing in TG
    • Color Changes
    • Max Players has been rised to 36
    • Spectator Mode
    Spoiler: To enter the Spectator Mode simply type /spectate
    To leave the Spectator Mode simply type /spectate
    As a Spectator you'll be able to Chat in Blue. No one besides other Spectators and the Mod can read this Chat.
    You are able to see all night actions.
    You can see all night chats.
    You can see all whispers.
    Your Name will be shown as blue.


Planned Features

  • Automating exe targets.
  • Automating exe wincon.
  • Command to view all rolecards on the server. (Suggested by BPsycho2)
  • Silently kill a player (for late players)
  • Check if revived role is a towny (Retributionist)
  • Make every button useable once / disappear after use (AM)
  • When a player is kicked they should be set back to the index page receiving a Messagebox with the kick information
  • Ignore automatism of not implemented roles
  • Controlling the given targets before automatism, but when they are sent in
  • Check if the role using /target has a useable nightaction / can visit
  • Do not allow a swap to the currently active phase (pregame → pregame)
  • Achievements (Requires Login System)
  • Death Notes
  • Spectator Mode
  • /forcevote available for Politician
  • EMOJIS!!!

  • Unjail for MOD

Testing Grounds Bugs List

    Confirmed Bugs:
  • Vigilante can shoot even if they already shot a Town
  • When someone joins while voting phase they do not receive a voting button
  • Dead players show as alive after reconnecting (Only to NON-MOD) Even though they are still dead (Can speak in Dead Chat etc.)
  • Werewolf kills Transporter twice when they chose to transport Werewolf target twice
  • Bodyguard cannot guard someone visiting a Werewolf target
  • Doctor's target will receive a notification for every kill they healed per night (Should only be one)
  • BG guarding the Werewolf kills the Werewolf (with and without Witch)
  • If two Mediums are seancing the same player, only one receives an answer, but the player sees both Mediums.
  • While attacking an immune, but guarded role you get killed but also receive the immunity message, the attacked person receives a immune message aswell
  • Visual effect of dev modifier disappears for those who reconnected
  • Werewolf homestaying is not calculated
  • Revival kills visual devmodifier
  • Veteran and Survivor are selfvisiting when using their ability, but they shouldn’t
  • Mediums cannot see each other when seancing (they should, according to live)
  • Chatbox is not at the bottom of the page
  • The Userslots are not going till the end
  • On Safari: player cannot chat
  • Bodyguard has not a vest but kills their attacker when getting killed
  • Werewolf kills visiting dead roles (Jester, Medium)
  • Witch can make the Jailor execute anyone
  • When a Disguiser and a Werewolf target the same immune player, the Disguiser dies twice, and the immune person survives.

    Needs Confirmation:

Suddenly one player was unable to be voted for "<name> is not a valid player" (state unknown) -> only happens in connection with an other bug, I cna show you later.
Jailor jailing does not count as roleblock? -> that was in connection with the Werewolf and Serial Killers, that they shoudl react in an other way
Werewolf kills Transporter twice when they chose to transport Werewolf target twice -> Confirming. This also happens if the Transporter selftranses themselves into the Werewolftarget. O gets mauled while double transing themselves. This would also happen to other selftargetting roles.
Bodyguard cannot guard someone visiting a Werewolf target -> Still happening
Doctor will receive a notification for every kill they healed per night (Should only be one) -> Doc should get a "Your target was attacked last night" times the amount of attacks their target had to endure. Not sure about the "You were attacked, but someone nursed you back to health", though. Both message are sent multipe times.
BG guarding the Werewolf kills the Werewolf (with and without Witch) -> Still happening
If two Mediums are seancing the same player, only one receives an answer, but the player sees both Mediums. -> is still happening (first [seancing] MEdium gets reply aparently)
/x seems to not be visible to Jailor sometime (Needs confirmation) -> cannot confirm
One can disguise as an attacked, but immune role -> Still happens
While attacking an immune, but guarded role you get killed but also receive the immunity message -> Still happens, even the attacked player gets the immunity message.
The userslots should have a minimum and maximum size -> They need to to so, as you could move them out of the screen, or let them swallow the whole TG screen
Visual effect of dev modifier disappears for those who reconnected -> After reconnecting the own dev modifier is (still) gone, but the other one has reappeared. Modswap made other devmodifier reappear.
Werewolf homestaying is not calculated -> Werewolf shold have had themselves as an autotarget, but aparently it is not the case anymore (still a bug)
Revival kills visual devmodifier -> the killing part did it now (only for not mods!)
Medium in jail still can post in deadchat -> Confirming it works, needs fixing.
Veteran and Survivor are selfvisiting when using their ability, but they shouldn’t -> That is true, currently it is resolved with the NINJA attribute so that their selfvisit is not seen. But when trnasported their targetting becomes invalid from the automods side and thsi requires fixing.
Mediums cannot see each other when seancing (they should, according to live) -> This is correct.
Roleblocker may not get message of having roleblocked the Serial Killer when healed -> This is true, the last time I blcoked SK and got healed on TG I received the notification, while I did not on the live servers
Chatbox is not at the bottom of the page -> Probably only a bug on my browser (FF portable)
The Userslots are not going till the end -> Probably only a bug on my browser (FF portable)
The role of a deceased player is displayed close to the middle instead of leftaligned -> Currently it is not the case, was aparently a one time issue, but I wil pay more attention to that.
On Safari: player cannot chat -> I do not use Safari, but some people do and reproted that issue :c

As far as I know the Werewolf also attacks the spirits of visiting dead roles (Jester/Medium), but seancing a selftargetting Werewolf did not do the trick :c
IF the Mod is a Werewolf they get the Transformation message :P

This Version solely consists of Bug Fixes, but they were necessary (Trust me ;))

Lemme revive this channel chile

- Updated ALL vanilla ToS roles where they have their current attributes and whatnot
- Changed the times of the day/night cycles where they're longer
- Updated some of the role colors where they're brighter or easier to read
- Changed the whisper color to blue and the mod messaging to purple
- Changed the ModTime music where it's the old ToS login music
