Worked at the Neuro ICU (NICU today. Where all the paitents who have had a stroke go to recover in the hospital and be monitored.

The nurse said they deterred to me the honor of an enema on an adult man, to which I obliged since I had never done one. It's easy, all things considered. With a syringe/turkey-baster in one hand and his a cheek in the other, proceeded to deliver the enema.

Freaking disgusting, but necessary experiance.

I'm in the stage where I feel like I need to tell someone my experiance or I'll explode. Truly sorry.

In less gross news, I also saw a man getting a lumbar puncture, a bolt in his head so they could monitor cranial pressure (pressure build up in the head), and talked to some nurses and people in the ICU about their experiances with stroke patients.

Lady was really nice and glad that I wasn't a prick like other student she has been getting (or so she'll say). Got to learn a lot of things and got a grocery list of topic to research. Go back on wednesday.
