This calls for someone to actually limit just how big a signature should be.
The easiest limit to apply would be certain character limits, however, character limits are not foolproof way to stop big signatures from appearing. for example, i could just resize the gif on my signature into 4000x4000px with a simple code that's only going to be 97 characters:
- Code: Select all
[simg=4000,4000]https://media.tenor.com/images/2b7add06e561563acc1e9c5e80ca0a59/tenor.gif[/simg]
On the other hand, My actual sig is about 1002 characters long if you're only counting the gradient text [and 1462 if you count all of them]:
- Code: Select all
[i]It's short for Stallion, but you can call me Stin.
So, rather than limiting characters, i want to propose we limit it based on how many pixels of height can there be on a signature. i think 256 px [just as much as an avatar can be] or lower is a good start.

I know you're gonna say "just disable signatures 5head" but that's not the point. The point is that if a GMod is mad enough to the point that they would warn people about it, then we should make it a concrete rule with actual limits to avoid the whole conversation of how "big" a signature can actually be.
