Reporting Bugs on Steam

With the Steam version being released, there may or may not be a chance you'll experience a bug on the Steam client, and not the browser client.

If you're playing on the Steam client when you experience a bug, and it's not already a reported bug in the Main Bug Reports area, please post your bug here. An example of this would be achievements specifically for the Steam client, and login for the client.

If you are using the browser client (via: http://blankmediagames.com/TownOfSalem) and experience a bug, please post it in the main Bug Reports forum section as usual: viewforum.php?f=10

If you're not sure where to post it, your best bet would be the main Bug Reports forum.

Threads will be moved to their appropriate locations accordingly if placed in the wrong section.

Some things to remember when reporting a bug;


  • PLEASE PROVIDE SCREENSHOTS. If you cannot provide screenshots, chances are we cannot address your issue(s), and will not be able to solve it. They are 100% necessary.

  • Please provide details about the bug! Without any information other than 'I found a bug', there's literally nothing we can do at that point. If you post that you've found a bug, but do not provide details, we will push for details. If you don't provide any details, your thread will eventually be deleted. The information we may need will include things such as;
    1. What you were doing when the bug happened.
    2. What error messages (if any) were given to you.
    3. System Specs (sometimes, this can be knowledge needed)

  • Please use the search function! This is so you can see if the bug has been reported already. Multiple threads about the same bug will clutter the forums, and we'd like to keep it neat. If the bug you encountered already has a thread, you can post on it if you are experiencing the same issue or found a fix for the issue.

  • Please do not joint thread! Post one bug per thread to make it easier to go through.

  • Please respond when someone offers a solution! It helps us know if a solution works so that we can help others in the future, and helps us to keep the forum neat and move reports out when they've been solved. If you never respond, it'll be harder for us to know if the bug's been fixed.
