Possible Vigilante Glich

I was the doctor in a game. I was killed by a vigilante, but the vigilante never died. Is that possible?

Is it possible that a dead Vigilante was used by a Retributionist or Necromancer?
Is it possible that the Vigilante was converted to a Vampire on the night they killed you?

Just some Sheriff who didn't claim until Day 5, and has no leads whatsoever
