Amnesiac turned vampire hunter

I just played a game of all any regular, and I got the Amnesiac role. a vampire hunter died night 1 so I remembered as him night 2 that night the rest of the vampires died (confirmed by a 2nd vampire hunter turned vigilante) but I was still stuck as a vampire hunter. I could not do anything role-wise for the rest of the game. Even though Mafia won, and no other vampires died, i never chance for the last 5 nights I was alive.
