I was banned yesterday on my account for a game I played that happened like 6 days ago. I checked out the report, remembered how the game played out (for the time i was in it), and figured that the guilty on the report was unjust. It seemed to come from laziness to see the context of the game in the report.
Basically, the game went like this.
I rolled witch, I went to vet bait n1 hoping it would be vig, instead witching an invest into a spy.
I get attacked n1 by mafia, and the spy I invested posts the results. 2x visits on me (mafioso and janitor), and 1 rm visit on an escort.
At this point, the game's pretty much over for me. A witch can only win if they survive the entire game, and because of the spy will, both maf and town are about to push me.
This all comes down to what my options are from here.
To preface, this is ranked. A fixed role list that is competitive is a lot different to a gamemode like all any, where you can literally claim survivor as any role and get innoed off stand early game. There are certain things that just won't work in ranked.
Should I claim BG who vested N1? (Or doc that self healed N1?)
No. That never works. Ever. Literally not once in 1000 games have I seen anyone claiming that live past N2. People will instantly lynch you if you claim that you survived that way because it is more than 10x likely you are NE who got hit by maf N1 than actually town who saved themself N1. Unless, (exclusively if you are town,) an investigator finds you as "BG, GF, arso" when you're BG, or "doc, disg, sk" when you're doctor, you're dead.
Should I say random incoherent gibberish hoping they'll ignore me?
Lol. This would never work in ranked.
Should I just not say anything at all?
You get instantly lynched for this regardless if town or evil because, for some reason, doing this as town is throwing, yet doing this as an evil is not.

Should I claim executioner siding town?
This is a straight up coin flip whether or not you will live past D2, and every night on the odds become slimmer and slimmer unless evils already have majority.
Should I try to fake play jester?
This is risky, but viable.
In the game I was banned for, I tried to fake jester by claiming witch. I saw N1, that a townie had died to vet, so I believed in the moment there was a possibility I could be ruled as executioner whos target died to vet N1 and turned to jester D2.
I just put forth 3 different strategies you could pull in this exact same situation, which all NEVER work, but NEVER get you banned for some reason.
And 2 different strategies that actually have a chance to work, yet one, for some reason, will get you banned if you fail it.
One of the strategies that makes the most sense to use for myself to LIVE (and WIN) as witch gets me banned.
furthermore, I also had another game where I was witch and did the exact same thing, recorded on another person's report. https://blankmediagames.com/Trial/viewR ... id=3421600
In this game I witched mayor, then claimed witch, pushed myself on stand, and claimed I witched someone else. Mayor revealed to inno me and I was never reported.
If I had been breaking a rule, I should have been duped on the report in that game. Because I wasn't, the only reasonable assumption I can make is that I was banned for not being convincing enough in my jester play.
I never even said who I witched, or outed maf, or gave any other indication of how I was or could be witch (that was legitimate information).
Should I really be banned for this?
