How bad are external links?

For example, I know I cannot advertise anything outside of BMG. However, what if a youtuber goes through a Town of Salem interaction on one of their videos. Can I use that as proof, or is it considered advertising still?

Could I, umm, get an answer please?
Examples of links that might be useful:
- Video's of ToS gameplay
- Questions and answers from other forums
- Pictures of ToS gameplay

I know that anything related to ToS is technically allowed, I just want clarification and what might be considered breaking the rules.

Your best bet is to always PM staff to ask about using said link, so we can check it and give our approval.

For ingame:

All links are technically guilty. Exceptions made in the past are not a guarantee for the future.
