I have played this game before back in 2014-2016 (somewhere there) and I don't remember my account name or the mail I used. Is there a way to check if there is an active account with a specific game name or mail?

Any account made in game also creates an account in the forums. You can find an account here by searching for it, I guess. But unless you can remember the email account used to create it, I doubt you will be able to login.

Since the members tab is down, you likely have to know the username instead.
You can check your mail account(s) for hints about your former username, but keep in mind that at the beginning of 2019 all invactive accounts that have not made any purchases got deleted.
