I believe you die, but your brain causes you hallucinate for what you could only perceive as eternity, perhaps even erasing current memories and making a completely new fake like and you'd never know the difference. When people die, they think of heaven, hell or blackness. Let's discuss blackness. If you have died, there's nothing left of you. Therefore you would experience pure darkness correct? Wrong, because there's no you left, you can't experience that blackness. There's no you to see nothing. Think of your life before you were born. No, before you were conceived. What do you remember? Nothing of course, you didn't exist then. Now think of that when you die. That's it end of story.

Left to our own devices, all human beings would be doomed to eternal fire. Thankfully, God, who loves the human race so much that He became one of us, has redeemed us, and calls us to Himself. Unfortunately, the majority of the human race will reject God's call and be condemned. However, for those who follow God with a sincere heart, He has prepared joy beyond all human imagination.

Sadly, there is no historical scientific evidence for this beyond a book. I truly wish this were the case however. Now that I think about it, living forever would be the worst punishment ever.
