If I saw this early ....
As strategies , There are a Lot of Books who teach strategies , But I strongly reccomend you GM John Nunn's Understanding Chess Move By Move .
As Openings , If you are not a over 1600 ELO Player , I reccomend you 1. e4 , Than Ruy Lopez , Italian Opening/ Gambit , Scotch Opening/ Gambit , King's Gambit , Ponziani Opening , Or others ... Choice is Yours , and about your play style . Against Sicilian , Choose a variant and Play , Black has to Find how to respond .
At Black , I reccomend you either Caro- Cann or 1...e5 against 1.e4. Against 1.d4, Budapest Gambit , or 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 is good . Against 1.c4, 1...e5 is good , but you can also try to transport it to other openings .
Also King's Pawn is Just equally Good as Queen's Pawn . But The positions are very difference . At King's Pawn , The game is generally Open , tactics are more important than long-termed plans . At Queen's Pawn , Long - Termed Plans is generally more important . Because of there is harder to use tactics , Games Generally goes with strategies .
Also Scholar's Mate Definitely fail against a Good Player . Kosmo , It is why I don't accept King's Gambit ( I am playing 2...Bc5 ) , Too risky Opening. White sacriface 2 pieces , but If black make A wrong move , Game over . Did you try Max-Lange Attack ?

-Does anyone know how to defend against d5 except by d4 and f6? -How do you effectively develop pieces like the white and the g-knight on black's side with the sillician defense?

1) I guess you spoke about Queen's pawn . a) You can play 1... E6 or c6 , with hope they transport Caro-Can or French , but this is not effective . b) 1... g6 , with modern opening / King's Indian ,
C) 1... C5 , than There is 2 openins for you after 2. D5 , Benko or Benoni . D) 1... F5 , with Holland Opening , you can go Stonewall system or Classical System E) 1... E5 , which is a gambit , you generally take back the pawn , but white's position stays a bit better .
If you don't want to play Nf6 or D5 , I suggest you 1... F5 , and Stonewall system .
2) As white , You can develope Knight from both e2 and f3 , both has cons and pros , but If you will go Open variations , they are same . As black , unless you play Taimanov Variation , F6 is better than E7 , so Bishop can go E7 .
If you ask How to develop pieces general in Sicilian:
1) Queen , C7 , b6 or a5. 2) Rooks , A rook should came c8 , other rook can come d8 , e8 on stay on f8 to defense . 3) Bishops , B7 and e7 , unless you play dragon . 4) Knights , C6 and F6 . 5) Pawns , Try to Set a6- b5 and e6- d6 as soon as possible , unless you play Sweschnickov .
Honestly I just go with the King's Gambit, it has gotten me a good amount of victories.

You’re going to be all right. You just stumbled over a stone in the road. It means nothing. Your goal lies far beyond this. Doesn’t it? I’m sure you’ll overcome this. You’ll walk again… soon.

I don't play chess very often and I'm not good at it, but I have friends that do. I don't have any good opening strategies to give, but I can let you know what my friends do if I remember to ask them.
What are chess puzzles?

Chess puzzles are when you are given a position, and attempt to make it become more favourable for the side you are given, generally by achieving checkmate, in a set number of moves. If you Google chess puzzle, I believe it will show several examples.

I was At tournament at Weekend . And the reason I hated at quenn endgames . Game Goes 157 moves , at the end I won , but I wasn't Happy .
I can Share full notation If anybody wants .
@chit , chess puzzles are generally positions Who seems equal , but You can win by a series of move . As win , winning a piece or more , checkmate , or a winning endgame .
Alternatively , it is possible You try Defend a position in a chess puzzle , Find True moves or you will lose . Generally this puzzles are harder than winning puzzles , because defending is almost always harder than attacking .

Personally I like d4 more because it's more aggressive and I don't have to deal with the Sicilian Defense(even though I love playing that defense as black), but e4 is better if you wanna go for a closed game, which gives you a higher chance of getting draws.

Actually it is opposite . d4 generally goes to closest openings , when e4 generally goes to open openings .
