Looks pretty good, especially with the portable play. Much better designed than the Wii U. Don't know if I'd get it anytime soon though since I'm not a huge video game person.
The people in the ad inserted DS style chips instead of discs (since those easier to carry while portable), which makes me wonder if backwards compatibility is a thing or limited to it being attached to the console.

It looked like Mario Kart 8 with the font, looks, and track but it has two item slots and King Boo. Potentially DLC?

I took that not as a game cartridge, but as an SD card. Could be useful to have a permanant memory and a swapable SD card to carry multiple games in a compact fashion. That's what I would do, anyways.

Don't see Nintendo giving up the DS line unless this really takes off tbh. But I do expect to see the DS line become more 2DS-like and kid friendly first if it continues.

NS will probably not play DS games. Why? There's only one screen, idiot. To add onto that the NS portable screen has no touch screen. And no stylus was included.

I like how practical this new system is, and I want to know what consoles (Wii, Wii U, DS, etc.) can adapt to it.
Predictions on charge sustainability?
New Zelda: I fear it will lose it's Zelda "feel" and play out more like Skyrim or other adventure games
New Mario 3D game (galaxy?) : I haven't seen much, but 3D mario games are generally pretty good
Mario Kart: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I have to get another one
Splatoon: Not new, still fun, will raise playerbase
Issue: I have two sisters, and so far it appears there's two remotes, maybe three (which would work)
