When I was in high school I volunteered at a museum in my hometown. Since I didn't have a driver's license at the time I had to rely on my mom picking me up after my shifts. I waited by a fountain outside of the museum and an older woman rode by in one of those scooter things for disabled people. We talked about the weather of all things since it was the summer of either 2012 or 2013 so it was really hot. Her scooter was adorned with a bunch of flags and a big OBAMA BIDEN 2008 sticker on it. Apparently she was going to the hospital to see a friend of hers. I can't exactly remember the details of the conversation but it was so incredibly surreal.

I actually came across a lot of weird scenarios while volunteering there such as the baby that threw up all over a ball pit, the Halloween events, horny turtles, and the two-hour-long shift I had on a dead empty day in the lobby with the Madgascar Hissing Cockroaches, but that moment stuck out to me the most.

This has been, and continues to be the oddest moments of my life:
Every Sunday, whenever I walk outside my dorm room (I'm in college btw), I walk two steps out and then someone runs by and trips me. The weird thing is that I always look before I go out and no one is in the hallway. And I never see anyone after I fall down from being tripped.

Dickheads who live in the area where I grew up. They would pull stuff like this. Basically take a teenager from a family of parents that doesnt care, add few of them into a group, give them lots of time with nothing to do, and devious intentions. Not too proud I used to hang out as a kid with a couple of guys who did this exact thing as well.

When I just finished my third grade at elementary school, it was two days before the final report, so three days before holidays started, I was swinging on one of those metal racks for carpets which you can commonly find in urban areas. My hand slipped, and I fell from about two meters with my head on solid cement pavement. Might have been one of those rock squared things, too not even sure anymore.

Needless to say I cracked my skull, but I wasnt knocked unconcious on spot. I stood up, imagine the worst drunken walk of your life, I would stumble from one side of pavement to another. Luckily a neighbour saw me and called my parents down, Mother pulled me into car and drove me to hospital, I lost conciousness in the car.

I regained it for brief moment in front of x-ray room.

Then I remember nothing but bright light. Then, I remember out of body experience - that was fricking weird. I could feel myself flying around the room, which looked identical to my hospital room, I saw my own body, flew around hospital in broad daylight. I woke up after that, this was three days after I passed out on x-ray. The day looked identical to the day I experienced out of body experience, which made the whole thing even freakier. I thought I was dead at the time.

Took me over two months to recover - so I wasted whole holidays in hospital. Odds to survive around 1%, so not surprising why my luck is so shitty these days. Out of body experience was really freaky thing.
