Spoiler: I got really pissed when a guy pretty much asked me out after Humanities class yesterday. Like... I try to keep calm, but considering, you know, as I've said before, it really really annoyed me. I laughed it off but honestly mehhhh. I'm not good at responding to these things. Though I guess at least I didn't yell at him. Should've just told him I have a "boyfriend" xd

Like, I'm not at all attracted to him, or pretty much anyone so eh??? I don't think it's socially acceptable here to say "yooo I'm asexual". I mean there was another more accurate term I forgot, but either way it'd be too hard to explain. And probably unnecessary for me to explain myself anyway.

Labels have loose definitions. If you think a word fits you, there's nothing stopping you from using it.

I identified with asexuality for a while, just because it was simpler than using some drawn-out explanation that nobody cares about. A little while back I decided that might've been crossing some lines and now I just tell people I'm not interested in sex. I still go with gay, because that's pretty much what I am, but it's more complicated than that, and if someone really wants to know then I can just elaborate then. Otherwise there's no point in worrying about finding something that fits you perfectly, whether it's being gay, transgender, or someone who likes green.

TL;DR don't worry too much about it. You can be treated like a girl without saying you're transgender.

Have you done any research on nonbinary identities? You might find that rather that fitting on either end of the gender spectrum, you're floating somewhere nearer to the middle ^.^

Distinc.tt is more of a social networking app, but it doesn't forbid anyone from looking for dates if they wish to do so. An app like that would be better than an app purely focused on dating, since I think purposefully chasing a relationship forces it too much. For me, it's better to make a lot of friends and see if you like any of them, rather than go through a crowd of stangers and not know what you're looking for.

But of course life works differently for different people, so I wish you good luck nonetheless.

Only reason I say this is because of how Grindr is seen more as a hookup app rather than a dating app.
