"Zootopia" a plot spoiled in the trailers (Spoilers?)

So I was watching TV when I noticed a Zootopia trailer playing. I was going to go see the movie over Spring Break most likely (I usually go to my Aunt's house over break and she has a 5 year old.). I noticed something in the trailer, and I'm pretty sure I spoiled the movie for myself.

So in this trailer, well preview (Below) you see Judie the Rabbit saving a mouse with big hair buying lots of things from a giant donut that would of killed her.(0:52)

When I saw this preview/trailer, that reminded me of the #2 offical trailor released (Below). In this trailer it shows more of the movie like Judie's promotion, the places they travel, and getting kidnapped by the Zoo-Mafia. The scene thats important is the last bit (The mafia bit) you see someone of a familiar face. (2:22)

Look who it? Its the same, big haired, mouse who is having her wedding.

Seeing how this is a Disney movie, Judie the Rabbit won't actually be iced. Based on the trailers and clips, "The Big Guy's" daughter is going to saved Judie in some sort of fashion as "Daddy!! You can't kill her! Shes the one who saved me!" or something like that.

I feel like this kind of ruins the movie for me since I know the exact outcome to one of the big scenes of the movie, but then again it is aimed at kids right? Questionable because of the nudist colony, murder, and mafia scenes, but still a kids movie by technicality.

Some of those I think are a stretch such as the random bystander and Mafia correlation, but the others are kind of a stretch. It may be a minor component though.

The mafia correlation is kind of obvious because obvious. The Godfather's daughter's wedding (A quote from the movie "The Godfather." "But until that day, accept this justice as a gift on my daughter's wedding day."), the mouse being called the Big Guy, and the Big Guy's accent.

Also, idk what youre trying to say because atm it reads "Those are a stretch, like the mafia idea, but the others are kind of a stretch. What are you saying is a stretch e-e?

I'm not big on animated films that try too hard to make cultural references and what not. Seems like they're trying to market to adults and kids, but it just ends up seeming less creative.

Just saw the movie, spoilers below:
Spoiler: You were pretty much right, but the overall Mafia element is just a minor part of the movie, as it doesn't do much more than other scenes in the movie.
The movie was good, better than I thought, had some good references too.

Yeah, you're right. I predicted that before I saw it too. Not a good move from whoever made the trailer.

I really did like the movie though, and I'm 18 XD

Fun fact: In Europe(Or at least, in the UK) the film is called Zootropolis

I know it was a good movie, but dang.
Then again, most fanfictions nowadays have become like 50 shades of gray from what I've heard. I stopped writing and reading fanfiction as soon as that trend began, back when I was 13 or so (and I'm sure some people are pissed about it because I never finished my story XD)

After you mentioned that I had to see what kind there was, and some are pretty classic fanfiction... continuing the story and adding your own characters, and then there is stuff like:

Judy Hopps is pregnant with Nick Wilde's twin babies.

That's the whole summary of the story.

I still don't get why people ship Judy & Nick. I only see them as "friends" and nothing more. It's just like people shipping Star & Marco.

Still, enjoyed the movie. This is looking to be a good year in animated films.

XD My guess is that people admire the bond between the two characters and want to see that bond go further... even though, in some cases, it probably should be left just as friendship.

Who's seen the Film Theory? It doesn't address the Mafia, but something in the Movie in correlation to real life.
My question is what other Disney movies are based off of events like this if it were true?
