Why so many anime fans?

But regarding the topic, tbh a lot of people online like anime.
It's probably because the Internet is a magnet for introverts and stuff.
Plus being online a lot does get you exposed to things like anime so even if someone didn't know about it, it's almost certain they'll stumble upon it. And if they like it, well, we've got another anime fan, I guess.

What is the most visually stunning or beautifully animated anime?

I want to watch a good one. I watched some in the 90's but they weren't that impressively drawn and seemed to consist of repeating the same few frames over-and-over.

Surely they have come a ways. Like Disney movies, right?

I wouldn't consider myself an anime fan but i like it, there's some really good ones out there.What i really don't like is people who think it's superior to any other form of entertainment or that don't want to accept that animes are also cartoons.
