Lap=400 meters, approx 1 mile or 1600 meters. Just less than an 8 minute mile. Not to brag, but I do 10 minute warm ups at cross country, I accomplish 5 laps, so my warm up is about your mile time.

That is nice to know. Good luck on your Cross-country!

All it is really is running for a long time and it's pure torture, but I love the despair of people when they're running this  MY courses are 2 miles and 4000 meters, so I'll be updating them a lot.

Well... 8:20... But close enough.
I will strive to do better than 12:00 for my mile!

I don't mean to be harsh at all, but you can pretty much walk and get a 12 minute mile. It's cool that you're a runner though and I'm not trying to put you down :D

I'm currently taking a jogging class (because the credit requirement for my scholarship pretty much forced me to take joke classes) and I managed a mile somewhere in the low 7 min range. No idea if I should call it good or not but considering I haven't played sports in years I guess there must be something I'm doing right \shrug

The OP said this is a place to brag, after all. Besides, I stated my running time, which is the whole point of this thread.

You cut out oily bragging about his stuff, that's what I was responding to.

Just barely beat 20 minutes on a 5K for my first time ever last weekend, at the largest invitational this side of the county. Not bad considering I'm a first-year runner.

WOW
Last time I ran a 5K, I was forced to stick with my sister, and I got 28 something. I used to run them a lot when I was in third grade, and I got 24-28 minutes.

Yeah - since that has happened I've injured my hip so I think that will be the only time I ever break 20 minutes. My goal for the rest of the season is to finish the races if my coach even lets me run.

Because the record isn't 3:43.13

Yes

You beat Usain Bolt's 100 meter time in a mile run. HIs would be 2:38 at his speed

I remember when we would go out to the track in high school for gym >...>

I never ran, so I have no 'time' set.

Though now that I played co-ed softball, I wish I ran more/got into softball then...

When we have one more weak till school, we have band camp. We march for about 3-4 hours, and then go in and practice marching music for for 2-3 hours. It sucks :(

We only ran 50 meters in school and I did it for 7 seconds, pretty trash. But since this is a bragging thread I will brag that my standing long jump record is 2.55 m.
