Running Times

Postby oliy » Sat Sep 26, 2015 9:23 pm

Okay, I'm athletic, and I like Cross-Country and Track, aka Running (for track include some jumps and throws.)
So, here's a place to brag. What are your best recorded times for certain distances?
Here are mine that I remember off of the top of my head:
Mile/1600m-5:51
2 Mile/3200m-12:26
4000m-14:59
100m-12.6s
200m-25.82s
400m~60s
Long Jump-15'
Shotput-31'1"

For 5k's (3 miles) I typically do anywhere between 21 and 23 minutes, 19 being my best time ever.

Last time I checked for miles, I believe it was 6:11 which would have been my best time ever. That was a year ago and can probably do better if I tried again.

My most recent 5k, I was forced to run with my sister, and we got a 28 something. She stopped so many times, and I gave up on her by the end ;_;
Other 5ks I ran were all a few years ago, maybe 4-5.
Suprisingly, in track, I got two 6:11s and a 6:09

Yeah same. XD Around where I live there is usually 5ks happening all the time, so me and my sisters go. My sister isn't as good and will range from 40 to 28, so its best to just abandon them.

If you can do a 2 miles, you can do a 5k. If you can do a 5k, then you can do a 10k. Then a half marathon to a full marathon. All you got to do is prove to yourself that you can do one step with ease to advance to the next step. Once you do the next step with (relative) ease, on to the next and next.

Your 2 mile time is my 1 mile time. Actually, nvm, I got 18 minutes on Mile run. However, I forgot to run 4 laps. I seriously lost track of what lap I was on and got 8 minutes and 03 seconds. It's not my fault I was focused on doing better!

I ran like 1000m in school once.
I stopped after that.
The school got mad how I kept waking the distance during later attempts.
I prefer swimming anyways.

I'm training for the army at the moment and I run a mile and half every day, I have to get under 9:30 to pass and I currently do it at a pretty consistent 8:55

Four laps is a mile for one of those 'standard oval things' (I don't know what they're called either)

I was timed by a gym coach for an about 10:30 minute mile. That was my best time.
