There is also the possibility of a Scottish Secession from the UK.

In 2014, Scotland voted whether or not to leave the UK, the Remain campaign won by about 55% to 45% of the votes. Two of the main selling points to staying in was that if Scotland left the UK it would no longer be an EU member state, and ir may lose the Pound Sterling as its currency.

And then 2 years later the Brexit referendum happened, in which Scotland overwhelmingly voted to remain, but was outvoted by England and Wales. You can see the issue here.

So there are talks of a second Scottish Referendum which, if it goes ahead, will most likely be a landslide victory for Leave the UK, and should that happen the Scottish Government would likely immediately get into talks with the EU in order to remain a member state. (and adopt the Euro as a currency so that stops being an issue too)
