Essentially, the lore of the game was that Earth was actually destroyed and the attacker wiped everyone's memory of it.
However, if you entered the observation decks you'd realise from the position of the stars that Earth was destroyed, and would thus remember the key to the armory.

Half got ignored.
The other half were consistent of "nah nothing happened".
And thats just the one bit of the game.

I'm pretty sure that's more of a problem with how the hosts do their thing rather than the actual game.
