Yeah, it varies. Some can be over quickly, like a month or two. Others are longer to complete, like Ciary's game, which took roughly 6 months.
Then there's games like Sarah's. 6 months in, still on night 2.
And worst of all, Ender's, which died nearly a year ago in the middle of the night.

Mostly it's down to a combination of life being an asshole to the host and activity of players.
Life is good to host + active players = quick game
Life is asshole to host + inactive players = Someone getting kicked Long game.

Does signing up and then deciding to not play after getting your questionerre count as inactivity?

If the game hasn't actually officially started, no.
If it has but you send to the host you want to leave, no.
If you just decide to not post at all, despite being accepted into the game and the game is now live, yes.

you should ask such things in PM. it might be used as evidence to ask it like this

Ciary's right. You should always ask things like this in PMs, otherwise there could be repercussions based on what you said.
Also, be patient. As I mentioned in my previous post, it can take time to do things, but the first few days normally take the longest because of the sheer number of active players.

I don't really see how it can be used against me, but alright....

Many ways it can be used against you.

Such as people knowing you are still active at a certain time. It doesn't let you edit your alibi and can be destructive.

He means, fir example, if you said you went to sleep at a certain time in your alibi
But this doesn't seem right since you asked if downie was active when that time is already passed for most people. That is how this could be used against you

What's the progress on our replies, Downie? No offense, I know you have a life, but we've been waiting like... a week and a half now. Or at least, I have. IDK about the rest maybe they replied late. But uh... it's been a while. Sorry if I'm coming across as impatient.

I stopped for a period of time to do two things: gather my belongings and to make a better map. (Second point is still a WIP)
