The Carpenter (Town Protective)

Role Name:
The Carpenter

Role Alignment:
Town Protective

Abilities:
Send up to two people into a sanctuary during the day.
You cannot send the same person twice in a row.
You cannot send yourself.

Attributes:
Your targets will be protected for one night.
They will be able to speak to each other.
They will not be able to use any abilities on any targets but each other, if they choose to use it.
All other visits to your targets will fail.
Your targets will be unable to read their respective chats for the night.
Astral visits and Unstoppable attacks will not be blocked
Your targets will learn if someone attempted to visit them whilst they were in a sanctuary.

Notifications:
Carpenter:
You have chosen to send [Position] to the sanctuary.
You have chosen to send [Position] to the sanctuary.
You have changed your mind.

Player:
You were sent to a sanctuary. You may speak to [Name].
You were joined by [Name].
Your ability failed because your target was in a sanctuary.
Your ability failed because one of your targets was in a sanctuary.
You were visited.

Goal:
To lynch every criminal and evildoer.

WinCon:
Standard Town WinCon.

Special Attributes:
Unique.

Investigator Results:
Sheriff: You cannot find evidence of wrongdoing. Your target seems innocent.
Investigator: Your target is a Investigator, Consigliere, Mayor, Tracker, Plaguebearer, or Carpenter.
Consigliere: Your target is a construction worker trying to keep the Town safe. They must be a Carpenter!

This is interesting. It sounds like more of a TS role but I think it's fine as TP.

Who has priority if Jailor/Carpenter try to select the same target?
What happens if you try to send the Jailor to a sanctuary?
Also your Investigator result doesn't have Carpenter in it.

Added the invest results lmao i was scrambling

If a Jailor jails one of Carpenter's targets, the targeted will be jailed, and the other target will be sent to the sanctuary anyways.
If the Carpenter shields the Jailor, the Jailor will be able to jail, but not execute.

If the Carpenter shields the Jailor, the Jailor will be able to jail, but not execute.


how does this work? the jailor will be able to speak with both the jailed and the other person in the sanctuary? will they still appear as "jailor" in the sanctuary?

also, i assume meds in the sanctuary cannot be heard by the dead?

see the main issue with this is that it's instantly confirmable, just send two people to a sanctuary and you're instantly confirmed because they can talk to each other; it's just like the town power psychic rework it's too confirmable

otherwise it's just "rb 2 people but protect them" which is like the old ghost role(i think that's what it was called) except you can target 2 people, which jailor can already do pretty much

you can get confirmed even more if somebody tries to visit one of your targets in a sanctuary

ghost would be a better alternative but i'm pretty sure it had been removed from the TG because it was too similar to jailor or smth, besides this role really relies on the talking part to be unique it seems
