Ambusher Changes

Along with the previously suggested Ambusher Buff
The Ambusher no longer reveals their name to other visitors on their target.
I suggest the following
The Ambusher's death notification becomes that of a regular mafia kill.

Player X is killed by an Ambusher. To Player X, they receive a notification "You were attacked by a member of the mafia!" and the following day, the cause of death will be "Killed by a member of the Mafia"

Any thoughts?

It'd still out its existence if the Mafia successfully executes a normal attack since it's impossible for two Mafia kills to occur at once in any other circumstance.

Just scrubbing it getting sold out for a successful attack would be sufficient. It'd be a good threat to the Jailor Meta, especially if the Godfather and Mafioso were thrown out (allowing any Mafia role to execute the night's attack at the expense of their night action instead) and replaced with a static Ambusher and, if one would like to play hardball with it, a static Disguiser. Couple that with a Disguiser buff of just making it completely invisible to Spies and that would destroy the Jailor Meta in Un/Ranked because the moment the words "im jailor tplo on me" passes their filthy little lips, the Ambusher and Disguiser will be like "Oh, don't mind if I do.". Can't catch the Ambusher because it doesn't get sold out when it attacks anymore and even if there's a Lookout who doesn't get ambushed, he's probably disguised so... tough luck, nerd.

I'm sure some Veterans would get the moxie to try spewing that line to plug the Ambusher, but I feel like that'd have a cycle of simultaneously working and backfiring, then being understood to the point that everyone pointedly ignores Jailor claims, which would then be turned around by actual Jailors to deflect attention. Or something like that. Would still be better than the current Jailor Meta.
I know what I'm doing, generally, but I have no grace at all when things start to spin out of control.

I'd like to address the latter part, but I wouldn't know the first thing about that.

Lol I did not consider anything beyond what you say here. I did consider what you said about outing itself with 2 mafia attacks but the main idea around this is if the mafia killing is jailed, the ambusher can cover up and this will reduce the power of Escorts and Jailors (mainly Jailors)

I do respect that utility, but my position is that instead of adding more unreliable ways to postpone deadlocks, it'd be better to just cut the knot and get rid of the deadlocks by stripping Jailor's roleblock (and also jail armor just to keep it straight) when it doesn't execute. Escort is still a problem, but I'm honestly not convinced that Escort needs to exist. If it were removed and "You were roleblocked!" and "You were controlled by a Witch!" were made generic with a "You're not sure what happened last night..." message, then I'd say that throwing out Escort would be fine at that point since Consort no longer needs it for cover and it's kind of bad at anything other than deadlocking anyway because of it getting no feedback for anything except getting counterattacked by a Serial Killer. (Hell, in an Un/ranked game with Godfather/Mafioso/Consort/Consort, Escort is literally useless for anything except deadlocking)

Removing the message would make ambusher increadibly overpowered, you could play as a complete idiot and you would fear nothing except of steping into veteran, and you would score extra kills like nothing

About the death msg, im still against it because ambusher is not really underpowered, specially in this ranked setup
