Yeah, the NK role that isn't in many games.
I personally see it as underrated and deserves a second chance. The only gave I've had with it was CFM10, and the Stalker did quite a bit of damage.
I think it should be given more recent chances to play and see how it turns out.
I also want to see how multiple Stalkers could play out with Stalking immunity.
What do you guys think?

Rockfire has stated interest in the role. All other mods seem to have abandoned it at this point.

Stalkers have stalking immunity, at least they did in 6E.

One gets consig'd N1 and ruthlessly bussed while the other dies defending them.

Back in July everybody was arguing to kill it and now people are arguing to revive it...
One thing that I've noticed is that people who dislike the role have generally been around longer than those who would like stalker to be in another game.

I actually think Stalker could potentially play out powerfully so long as they aren't the sort of person who's bound to get targeted ;<

Yeah that about sums up what the situation is.

As others have said, Stalker has immunity to stalking and I also use the rule of redirects/rbs making the Stalker target the new and original target. I think that Stalker works fine as a role, but needs long term panning to be successful. It's more of a Tactician's NK while the SK is more of a NK for direct results.

I'm only planning on trying to see if any changes to Stalker would help it and the one that sticks out to me the most is allowing them to stop a Stalker kill if need be to encourage more tactical play. Maybe with a set limit of 3 or 2 times they can do this to help keep themselves alive.

The only benefit I can see to cancelling your stalk is to not be caught by the Jailor/UB should he jail you. Am I missing something?

Well, it allows for the Stalker to have a more tactical view as they can stop themselves from being outed by a Escort/Consort or Jailor/UB by removing your stalk on them or your original target. It makes for some WIFOM situations.

And it could also help late game to stop the death of an ally (Witch/Survivor) or to keep someone alive that is scum and you need to talk majority later. It works to at least make the pressure less intense on such a read heavy NK.

Basically in order to win because of the delay you have to get super fucking lucky on who you select - like, too much of the role relies on luck. The mafia / other NKs have to attack the right people, and it just takes too long for your kill to go into affect. You can get to endgame and people can easily figure out who is the Stalker and you don't even have a chance because it takes for fucking ever for your kills to work. Just... bad bad bad.

I didn't really find picking targets hard, it's just a matter of making an educated guess on who will stay alive long enough for you to kill them. Thinning out both Mafia and Town could theoretically help for endgame, since neither would have a clear majority.

No, that's exactly my point. It's luck of the draw - you have to guess who the Mafia Team won't kill, and who the Town won't lynch. It's literally luck. You could go the entire game without actually killing anyone because they keep getting night killed or lynched, and it's out of your control.

Here is another Fact: Stalker is one of the most intricate roles that require the most skill.

Yeah because 1 I didn't think he was telling the truth because what town power would claim day one, and 2 I was trying to pull a gambit, making everyone go wow MEL wouldn't be stupid enough to not attack him... And it halfway worked. Also I knew I could manipulate him into believing me... Which I did.

I just got screwed by the damn sheriff looking at me night one. Worst fucking luck when I play anti town, dammit...

I mean...if you really want to help stalker for like one game just also give it sheriff immunity or something.

I like stalker as town because it delays kills for a few phases, honestly I wouldn't mind giving it more tries.

The Stalker just needs different win conditions. That alone would help it out a bunch. I like it as a NK, but the win conditions need to change... maybe something like they have to kill a certain number of people, or they have to kill both a mafia and a town, just something. The win conditions just make it nearly impossible, and again, too reliant on luck. All of the other roles require some bit of skill to win. Not Stalker.

Stalker is a good role, it needs a couple small tweaks, and it needs ppl to get better.
