xUltiix wrote:Okay, there's a problem with the current ideas. If Mafioso is allowed to remember Godfather in the day, which it might be able to according to the role card, it would have immunity. Kears, via the invest results, is definitely Mafioso and can turn Godfather to block my shot. From people who believe I'm scum's points of view, Mafioso is a high possibility for me also due to it having a more likely slot in the rolelist and because my claim is Vigi, something easy to pass as as mafioso when there's an invest. Therefore, a new plan should be made to stop that stuff happening.

New plan:
If Kears is the real vigi, he shoots Seth.
If I'm the real vigi, I shoot dota mrchuckleteeth.
Today, we lynch phoneix.
Spider marshal protects me.
Tomorrow, we lynch whichever out of Me/Kears didn't shoot the right target. If no shot happens, I'm confirmed to be scum because a consort could not have roleblocked me.
Spider being an open target doesn't matter because the game will become mechanically locked.
If today's lynch + tonight's shot kill the last scum, we can then lynch whichever vigi claim turns out to be false tomorrow and instantly win.
If we are unlucky and hit everyone except the last scum, we then know who it is because it would then be whoever's target didnt get shot between vigis.

This plan is mechanically infallible from all perspectives, unless I messed something up.
Can everyone respond with what they think of this plan and if I messed up and have something wrong in it?

Actions:
Spider protects me
Kears if real shoots seth
Me if real shoots mrchuckleteeth
Other actions dont matter
This should win us the game

Anything else or can I go ahead and hammer?
I'll hammer when consensus is that discussion is done

Well, I get it and I'm fine with you hammering it.

If phone turns out to be Mafia, still shoot anyway to prove you are vig. Even though that would mean both are likely real TI

tl;dr for the modrant is basically "don't have all the mafia claim PR"

that and me screaming that there was literally 0 chance of a consort and only ultiix realized it

My own kinda rant:

This game was fun overall, but a bit short. Mafia play was a bit questionable, you guys mostly got extremely unlucky with running into a BG night one but claiming TK in a one-TK setup is suicide. Invest claim was aight, that also ended up bad more due to the amount of TIs which couldn't have been predicted for. At least one citizen should have been claimed by mafia probably.
Town play was pretty questionable with some people but spot-on with others. Non-me shoutouts go to wabbit for the n1 prot setting us up for a win, spider for making the final plan possible by quickly understanding it, and chuckleteeth for comprehending my initial plans after time despite being initially opposed, then not hammering me and helping us win. To the people who didn't really put much activity into this game: don't get started with that habit. Flaking a game isn't fair to anyone.
To those who wanted to lynch me blindly even though my plan was mechanically sound: While it's good to be confident on your reads and want to stick, the main problem with how you all played this game was sticking too hard. Notably jammingduck and grumpygoomba, you two pushed me over Kears in all scenarios despite not too much of a reason to after the initial conflict. Next time maybe try reevaluating your reads over time and being more open to hearing defense? This isn't calling you guys out for being bad, just an improvement suggestion - this queue is for learning after all.
To anyone who wanted to lynch in me/kears over letting us shoot: If it was because of "the odds" being good, on the surface they were - but if you had lynched wrong, which you would have in this case, the town would be in the worst scenario possible. Avoid unnecessary risks, and if a scenario has potential for gain but no potential for loss it's usually your best bet. No loss would have been made by letting it play out at night. Not lynching me or kears then letting it play out at night would have just put us back in the exact same situation.
Everyone who didn't flake had good effort regardless of whether they contributed to the win or not, this game didn't really have too much room to contribute if you didn't start early. GG all

Adding onto this, what everyone could have done better including me:

Phone0Ix - avoid looking scummy, maybe a bit more content in posts
TheWabbit - dont die so early and leave me
xUltiix - dont forget there is only one TK possible lmao
MrChuckleteeth - dont push claiming so early
spiderpoolcorps - Be less passive
Qvapil - read what I wrote to grumpy and jamming in my long post
Noveiia - don't flake games
GrumpyGoomba - read what i wrote in my long post
dota2reporter - don't speculate on claims if you dont have to, dont abruptly flip reads
Jammingduck/Crimson97 - read what i wrote in my long post
TheDebil - dont throw obvious shade, be more self-active
Seththeking - idk anything to put here tbh, maybe avoid claiming invest as consig?
Kears123 - Dont claim tk in a 1-tk game, and you should have hammered me when I was L-1

Was either that or Kears.
I don’t think Godfather dose anything other then kill though.
I like to make use out of the mafia roles in play.
