Also I'm wondering - why did choose to tell everyone your role now?

I ask a lot of questions because I like to have all the facts right, that is just how I am, even out of the game.

well actually this game doesn't really go to much on evidence but putting the pieces together
especially with only 1 investigative role left
More putting the pieces together to solve who the murderer is
such as this
(this might be cheating a little given the history of turdpile)

The chances of the sheriff getting an actual mafia are extremely slim
This game mostly revolves around communication to determine the villains
why is turdpile skipping the day? and saying there isn't a lead to go on?

I believe Turdpile is going for the non lynch day because there really hasn't been any leads. (But I can't really speak for him)
I can see where you're coming from, to an extent...but I don't think we should lynch someone just because they vote for a non lynch day.

Zero also voted for a nonlynch day...does that mean we should vote him out? I don't think so.

Everyone has their own style of play, we just have to get a feel for everyone.

For me, I'd like to let one more day pass and see what everyone else has to say. There might be some people who haven't had a chance to chime in on what they've found out.
No one has really accused anyone, except you, and you accused TurdPile pretty quick. That is suspicious to me...but I'm not going to come out and say that we should lynch you for it.

In your shoes, if I was Sheriff, I would take my suspicions and investigate him the next night and see what turned up before I said anything.

The thing is zero didn't start saying to skip the day
and bad guys want to skip days really since they get to kill more people with no chance of getting caught (maybe vigilante could get them at night)
we obviously aren't going to get anywhere waiting for the ONE sheriff to catch people (who could be framed)
