Mod players was a mechanic I introduced to balance the game and make most things work. It was a thin line but I did it to improve gameplay, not shit on people because the players couldn't have done it any better than any of us. Just look at this last phase.

I really enjoyed hosting this game with all of its plot twists and REEEEEEEEEEEEEs, the ending was also fitting for the community. I still feel bad for Var though.
I will look into the mechanics that worked and the ones that didn't. I got a lot of intel from this game that might help a lot of creators who intend to host large games.
By the way, about the prod thing... I was just too afraid to do it to anyone after the first day when chats got separated. People kept replacing out with no way to replace them and me kicking the ones at least somewhat clinging to life would just ruin things. It was tough to tell people to do stuff all the time but we pulled through and reached an ending that isn't a can at least.

Evan, you are one of the worst Night Planners I have ever seen. And your decision to ignore Munch being a threat to HUMANS 100% killed us. Going after the Neutral Benign instead of a Neutral killer is stupid. Trying to rely on him to kill someone just to lynch him is stupid.

That was the 100% losing idiot mistake. We lost for a lot of other reasons too, but your ideas, starting from delibrately town flipping someone on Day 1 ALL THE WAY TO THIS ultimately made me hate every one of your posts after the threads remerged. Every good thing we managed to do after I died got nullified at every turn thanks largely to your every idea afterwards.

Mel, you were transparently scummy, but your team was 100% shit all throughout and my heart does break for you.

Varanus was always doomed to lose because Munch winning still meant he was going to lose. My heart broke for EVERY Parasite and Fungus in this game- the way Ender designed both of these factions was fucking ridiculous and it was always impossible to win.

Not explaining Complex Actions clearly at all with an example was also a bit dumb.

Also dumb- a 23v17 setup where the Scum could have upward to 6 KP per night, and the Town has to kill ALL 17 to survive.
Also, 2 of them are killable only with complex actions at night which were never clearly explained.
Also, a third could appear (Munch) under the right circumstances.


TL/DR This game was nice on paper but sucked given the players.
It being truly bastard did not help.

I could continue ranting on and on but then I take more away from the good of it. I did like many of the aspects, but the general lack of caring from everyone was intolerable and this many Modkills is just unacceptable.

He was a brain eating Amoeba that kills little kids at water parks.

He gets this after having killed one of the Bacteria and basically turns into an unstoppable Penumbra killing machine. Apparently he also becomes nearly impossible to kill right until the storm hits, so him dying did us a lot of favors.

Know what didn't do us a lot of favors? Beyond the Barrier having three of the four protectives.

If this game ever gets rehashed, can there PLEASE be more than only four protectives? More importantly- can half of them not be HUMANS?

All of your investigatives died before they could do anything. M4x, taylork and ryan. Your biggest killing power got himself modkilled for posting screenshots of a deleted chat. Protectives shouldn't be a lot in the first place in my opinion. Your chat also had no roleblockers like Kmenx and Shilster. Evan's protective part should have been on your side. A revealed HUMANS is extremely powerful if they are allowed to live anyway. It felt like cheap and easy in my opinion to have that many protectives when it is obvious who to protect. And guess what, the only time someone gets a protector ability, they kill someone else with it.
