Rules (please read!):
-All standard rules apply regarding game conduct (spamming, gamethrowing, etc).
Note that mind games are not gamethrowing - if it looks like you may be gamethrowing but you are actually using some sort of strategy, I will ask you about what you are doing via PM, if you can explain yourself using some form of logic (it dosent have to be good logic per se, just that there is some form of strategy involved), then it is not gamethrowing.
Whispers:
Each player is allowed 5 whispers per day, 200 words maximum per whispers.
Beware of Spies and/or Blackmailers who may be listening in on your private conversations!
As there may be Mediums or a Retributionist in play, no dead players will be allowed to join a new game until this game is over.
The bomber role was used in the role selection process - it may or may not be in play this game.
Last Wills and Deathnotes - any role that is capable of killing is allowed a deathnote, and every player is allowed a Last Will. Last Wills and Deathnotes may not be more than 500 characters in length. This will be strictly enforced, and Last Wills or Deathnotes that are too long will not be posted unless they are shortened (I will notify you that it is too long)
Sending me game-related PMs:
For a whisper, the subject must be "Whisper" For a Last Will, the subject must be "Last Will" For a Deathnote, the subject must be "Deathnote" For a Night Action, the subject must be "Night Action" or "Night Activity"
Any PMs I receive that do not contain any of these subjects will be ignored (unless it is a PM regarding the rules of the game, a question about the roles or something along those lines)
Inactivity: Every player is expected to log in at least once every 48 hours. As there will probably be loads of posts, it will be near impossible to determine if a player has not posted in 48 hours. Therefore, all I require is that you have logged in within the last 48 hours. Failure to do so will result in an inactivity prod. Following the prod, should the player not log in for another 24 hours (72 hours total) or receive 3 prods over the course of the game, that player will be removed from the game and replaced by someone on the waiting list.
Mafia Night Chat: There will be a private Mafia chat board on the forum that the Mafia may use to discuss nighttime tactics. I still require PMs from all Mafia members who wish to use their night abilities, posting in the private mafia chat is not enough. I will notify the Mafia towards the end of the Night Phase if there are any players from whom I have not received PMs.

Modkills: If you wish to be Modkilled when you die, simply include in your Last Will that you wish to be Modkilled when you die. Put it at the beginning or end of the Last Will so that I can easily see it when copy pasting the sent message. The statement of "I wish to be Modkilled" (or however you write it) will not could towards the 500 character limit.
Voting: I will set up voting polls in which you can vote for who you think is evil. You can also choose to /unvote or vote [/b]/NoLynch[/b].
When you vote, please post your vote both in the game thread as well as in the voting poll, or your vote will not be counted. If you are blackmailed, you cannot vote. Should you try to vote, you will be reminded of your blackmail and be forced to /unvote. Also, please edit your vote in the voting poll if / when you change your vote. It saves me loads of time when I try to compile the voting lists of who voted against who.
Regarding the Jailor Role (should there be one in play):
The Jailor must decide during the day (before a majority vote to lynch someone or NoLynch) who he wants to Jail. He may also ask 3 questions to his jailed target. Each question must be 250 characters or less and cannot support gamethrowing. Example of a question that will be nixed: I know you are Mafia, tell me who the other Mafia are and I will spare you tonight. (1 - not a question. 2 - gamethrowing)
The Jailor may ask anything he likes, but he must give in up to 3 questions before the night begin. Once night begins, the questions are finalized. There is no additional questions that may be asked during the night, even if the Jailor asks less than 3 questions to start the night.
The jailed player may answer the questions however he likes. (pm answers to the Moderator)
Once the Jailor receives the answers, or 24 hours have passed, the Jailor may choose to execute his target. He must wait 24 hours or until he receives the answers. The Jailor will be notified when he is allowed to decide on whether or not to execute the prisoner.
If you, at any point in the game, have any questions about your role or any role at all, feel free to PM me your questions! I will answer you as soon as I can, and if it is something that I was asked a few times, I will both PM you the answer and make a post about it on the thread (and edit one of the opening posts for reference).
DO NOT post questions about roles in the game thread - there is a good chance that I will not see them as even though I try to read all the posts in my games, sometimes there are so many posts (and a good amount of it becomes pointless banter sometimes) that I end up skimming.
Please reply to the confirmation PMs within 48 hours or you will be replaced by someone on the waiting list. Once all players are confirmed, I will send out Role Cards and the game will begin!
Please note that all times are EST, and all Night Phases will end at 11:59 PM EST, so nights may be longer than 48 hours.
Please be aware that the Spy and Blackmailer roles have been slightly altered since they were first described. Both roles can now see all whispers involving their target, both sent and received.
This is done with the goal of preventing mass role claims and to make people more cautious when whispering, as whispering roles to a Mayor or a Pseudo-Mayor (confirmed Townie) is OP.

A warm breeze fills the air on a warm and sunny day in the Town of Salem. Twenty-one people (Moderator included!) have taken residence within the Town's dwellings. Some are innocent members of the Town who wish only to serve and preserve the Town's customs. Some are part of the Mafia, with the goal of systematically eliminating the members of the Town, one by one until only they remain. And of course, some are neutrals with their own goals in mind. Some wish only to be ignored and to mind their own business, while some will go about killing everyone else in the Town, regardless of whether they are innocent or Mafia, until they are the only one remaining.
And of course, there is the Moderator who is writing this right now (breaking the 4th wall ) and who is always available for any questions regarding roles, rules and any other general game questions.

My fear with simply letting a survivor coast through the game is that his motivation to be anti-town increases greatly as the game nears its end. In a lategame scenario where town must lynch scum to stay alive, I feel that a survivor's motivation to side with a scum faction increases, since said scum factions can kill the survivor while town can't. I suppose the presence of bulletproof vests gives the survivor more freedom to choose a side without fear of losing, but that uncertainty is still something I'd prefer to avoid if it's possible. At the very least, a claimed survivor makes a decent RB/vig or execute target if those roles would otherwise be idle.
