He tends to be more active D1.

That's my feeling, I don't have a proper explanation, but is still a read.

Detonator is just Electrician, nothing new.

What role would Trauma Patient want to remember? I'm leaning towards Town Protective, especially Bodyguard.
(no this isn't a softclaim or a hardclaim pls)

Detonator also does alert targets which Electrician doesn't. We also used Detonator but I don't think Electrician has been in an FM game.

I don't think austin's sheeping comment is that scummy. He is at least being honest about his intentions. I would be more inclined raise my eyebrow if he denied that he was sheeping and actually was.

Ladd and vorono lean town to me for the poking/prodding/general scumhunting.

Creature's uncharitable interpretation of the exchange between austin/vorono bothers me. Could be a potential effort to invent scum motivation.

Sturps complains about the lack of activity, but doesn't do anything about it. Will be watching that slot.

Considering that there's no lynch today and nothing crazy seems to be happening, this D1 is probably not going to be much longer. D2 usually ends up being at least 40-50 pages, possibly more.

depends on the amount of players/the players themselves.
this is an exception, idk why

Ladd, I can understand where you come from with the read on Dota, but doesn't mean I agree with it -- your read is valid if you take context out of equation, but I'm sure Episode 9 had more stuff going on than we have (Read: Pretty much anything), so it's not at all unexpected that his introduction here is relaxed. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, I barely remember what went on that game while you were a player yourself.

And yes, I agree it's a little bit surprising nothing came up yet. I'm sure it'll go back to normal by D2, though.

As for the rolelist, I'm not Rick myself, thus not very fond of setup analysis. But I don't see harm in it, so might as well.

1) Detonator can be troublesome, despite more inconsistent KPN, given it's interaction potential. Fusing protectives, killling roles, or investigatives, then figuring out who they're targeting next to set the devices off. The good news is that non-visiting roles being fused first means there's less chance of the trigger going off early. The bad news is that the Detonator doesn't have to do guesswork all the time, seeing as only one right visit is needed for them to kill. Detonator rolling also means that there's some shenanigans with people being confirmed when they were already fused previously, being able to self-target, capable of killing by themselves, etc.

2) Uhm, sure? There's an extra TI slot which is confirmed to be Sheriff/Invest (meaning we'll probably have people CCing these roles down the line), there's an extra TP slot as well (kind of unusual), a TS slot without Transporter, a TK slot without Veteran. Town Power and Underboss both being in play means we'll have to consider the risks of claiming while jailed. There's a NB slot which may roll Guardian, and seeing how nobody claimed that yet, I'm going to guess it didn't (roll). Nothing to comment about the rest of the Neutrals.

Now that I've typed that out I realized the roles which are "excluded" from certain slots: Lookout, Spy, Transporter, Veteran. I'm guessing Met's aiming for a rolelist with less easily-confirmable roles.

The post I quoted from Dota came from page 2 and it was their first post, before the whole D1 mess with Cow happened. I do agree that the environment was a bit more tense due to it being an Episode, but I feel like they are fairly comparable.

I have trouble reading Dota ( as in I read them almost always as scum ), so I am trying to notice the little things with him.

I feel like Warlock can be deadly in certain players hands. Kleptomaniac does not worry me too much.

Regarding Detonator, I really don't think he represents a much bigger or much different threat than an arsonist, the visit part could turn out to be annoying, but Sk is still the worst NK for us to roll.

Guardian is a strange ( and really hard, if I am understanding the win condition right ) role, I don't now what to make of it yet. You bring an interesting point about it revealing D1, but a lot of people have not posted and I feel like not anyone would reveal D1 if they rolled it; so I would rather not jump to conclusions and rule it out yet.

Yeah, this usually happens if the mod in charge isn't around.
Guess I'm going to lock it then.

Night 1 begins!

The Vikings departed for their huts and homes. After a very productive first day, it was time for some rest.

Night 1 will end on April 4th 12:00 pm [UTC -3]

Swordsworth died, we are sad. He was killed by a member of the Mafia. He was a Vi(kin)gilante.

After a short Viking funeral, the band of Vikings returned to their thinking poses. They were determined to get to the bottom of this. Life is pretty boring so it's not like they had that much to do.

Day 2 begins! Day 2 will end on April 11th 3:30 pm [UTC -3] or when a majority is met.
