I haven't played with him before. What differences are you noticing?

He tends to be more active D1.
That's my feeling, I don't have a proper explanation, but is still a read.

What role would Trauma Patient want to remember? I'm leaning towards Town Protective, especially Bodyguard.
(no this isn't a softclaim or a hardclaim pls)
oh, and this is one of the calmest day ones I have ever seen. Congradulations.

Ladd, I can understand where you come from with the read on Dota, but doesn't mean I agree with it -- your read is valid if you take context out of equation, but I'm sure Episode 9 had more stuff going on than we have (Read: Pretty much anything), so it's not at all unexpected that his introduction here is relaxed. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, I barely remember what went on that game while you were a player yourself.
And yes, I agree it's a little bit surprising nothing came up yet. I'm sure it'll go back to normal by D2, though.
As for the rolelist, I'm not Rick myself, thus not very fond of setup analysis. But I don't see harm in it, so might as well.
1) Detonator can be troublesome, despite more inconsistent KPN, given it's interaction potential. Fusing protectives, killling roles, or investigatives, then figuring out who they're targeting next to set the devices off. The good news is that non-visiting roles being fused first means there's less chance of the trigger going off early. The bad news is that the Detonator doesn't have to do guesswork all the time, seeing as only one right visit is needed for them to kill. Detonator rolling also means that there's some shenanigans with people being confirmed when they were already fused previously, being able to self-target, capable of killing by themselves, etc.
2) Uhm, sure? There's an extra TI slot which is confirmed to be Sheriff/Invest (meaning we'll probably have people CCing these roles down the line), there's an extra TP slot as well (kind of unusual), a TS slot without Transporter, a TK slot without Veteran. Town Power and Underboss both being in play means we'll have to consider the risks of claiming while jailed. There's a NB slot which may roll Guardian, and seeing how nobody claimed that yet, I'm going to guess it didn't (roll). Nothing to comment about the rest of the Neutrals.
Now that I've typed that out I realized the roles which are "excluded" from certain slots: Lookout, Spy, Transporter, Veteran. I'm guessing Met's aiming for a rolelist with less easily-confirmable roles.
