If I ever roll the Witch Card, I'll let you know. That's one of the roles I've revamped that I've never actually been able to touch yet.
(Actually, I've not been able to touch a lot of the roles I've changed up...)

Although, Chilly, I will say this- I'm not against targeting new players as Scum. This is why I leave behind the tip to always give Scum a reason to NOT do that- by making yourself out to be a Citizen, you always make it sound like controlling you is just a waste of time for them, and only serves to increase your chances of being innocent- as would being targeting by a Consort's roleblock, and the like.

New players are generally only targeted if it's obvious they hold a PR, so I'd just take more care to make sure that you don't sound nervous, on edge, and just that you're ready to advance the game with your head on right.

Ok, so far i been reading and thinking.... rick i like you now as an IC and a player, but when your so popular makes you a target for almost everyone maybe. no offense

Heh. It's quite fine, Vader, it's a two-edged sword.

I'm quick to get investigated, framed, protected... the third of there happens often enough that I don't normally die on Night 1 unless I'm playing TFM. (But it's okay, because TFMs don't really count) I'm known for being an exceptionally good Town player, but I'm feared even as Town because people know that I've been a Scum-aligned Town leader before, multiple times. So my scum play usually gets emphasized more than my Town play.

I didn't ask for my infamy, I just have a habit of putting my money where my mouth is, and winning more often than not.

(Also, uh, seriously guys- I'm just one of four ICs, I'm not the only one capable of being a leader or being deceptive. )

Things to put in your last will: your name and role, in case there's a Disguiser, your investigation results or night actions (if applicable), and also reads. Dear god, don't forget the reads. If you're dead, then your will is the last chance you have of ever getting your words to the town, so make good use of it.

More on this. It doesn't apply as often as Night 1, but eh, see what you can do.

When you think you're about to die, during Night Phase, try to read over the thread during the day to predict just why that might be. What might you have said, who might you have rubbed the wrong way? Try to go deep into it. Don't just make it a suspect list, try to anticipate what got someone's attention- not who you think is responsible. Suspect lists rarely end up being accurate anyway- it's a whole lot less subjective than trying to know why you died.

Also, when your role flips, try to give us a starting topic. If there was anything you wanted the Town to talk about now that you're dead- leave that in your will. I do this all the time, and nothing pisses me off more than when everyone ignores my last will for days on end until someone else FINALLY points out how the will points them to a helpful clue.

Try to have THIS be your Last Will as well.

Here's my personal example of a good last will:

Spoiler: On the off chance that I'm dead (which would genuinely shock me), the Disguiser hid the Mafia attack action from the Spy on Night 2. That means that one of Chubby or Retral have to be the Mafia Killer on that night, and their role is Framer/Consort/Consigliere.

If Retral is telling the truth about being roleblocked by an Escort, then Chubby is the Mafia Killer.

If Retral is lying, he's almost certainly Consort.

This means that it's likely that Munch was visited by someone other than the Disguiser on Night 1. Who visited him, then? If it wasn't the Mafia killer, could it have been a Consort?

If Leese performed the cleaning, and the Disguiser targeted the third Mafia member (Consort/Framer/Consigliere), what would this imply about Retral?


HYPOTHESIS: If there is a Consort, it is Retral. If there is an Escort, then Chubby is Mafia.

This is a Last Will where I died, fully well realizing some mistakes the Town made, that I wanted EVERYONE to talk about now that I'm dead, and can't mention it. That way, everyone has a focus to help find the right scum.

Try to make your Last Will like that. Leave information, your reasoning.

Say what you WOULD have said in an opening post to the Day, but you can't, while you're now dead.

Sorry, I don't know where that came from, but I am sorry for that.

Of course Last will came be used for whatever you want to do, but it might not be worth it, if your guaranteed to be alive.

Oh, trust me, Chilly. The last will I just posted here? That was made 10 minutes prior to me being told I died. Shot by the same Vigilante I was trying to protect, UGH -.-

I was sure that I was going to be alive so that the Mafia could push me as a mislynch target, and I ended up being Vig shot. So yeah, even when you seem pretty sure you're going to be alive, I'd always make sure to have a last will to say what you can't. Just in case.....

Otherwise you're going to be one HELL of a salty dead player for not covering yourself.

Anyway, on the flipside, you shouldn't ignore the wills of the dead. Like the time I called out the Mafia Head and the NK one game on D1, and literally everyone ignored the reads and key evidence in my will when I died N1 and went on mislynch multiple times....

If someone was killed, why were they killed? If someone flips Town, they're confirmed Town and you should listen to their thoughts in their will, since they come from what's guaranteed to be a Town perspective of the game. You shouldn't take their word as law, but you should remember a dead person's reads like how you'd treat a living confirmed Town member's reads.
