Why do new players think that pulling gambits is a good idea?
Either you are a Citizen and you are baiting scum to kill you, or you are telling the truth and will try to alert tonight.

Either way, you arent being attacked tonight. Scum wont attack someone they think is Citizen this early in the game, so you just wont be attacked is all.

And god help you if you are any PR other then Veteran. You will be lynched faster then you can say "I'm innocent". Lynch all liars policy exists for a reason you know.

So I am giving you this one chance to retract your claim. Think about it and make the right tactical decision. Obviously I dont know your role so I cannot say right now what the right tactical move is, but at the end of the game I fully expect to see that you made the right choice.

Okay, so either you're telling the truth, and it's now impossible to prove you're telling the truth without sacrificing ourselves, or you're lying.

So? Can you explain what exactly you hope to gain from doing that?

Hi everyone. Here's an example of what NOT to do on Day 1. I leave behind the following words of wisdom:


Spoiler: 1. Don't hardclaim unless you know it helps the Town (e.g with lynching scum). Don't even do it as a defense- this is not a defense UNLESS the Town is asking you to do it. When you hardclaim without being asked, or without having information that proves someone very likely to be guilty, expect to be doubted, and if you do prove to be Town, called out for being reckless. Mass claims aren't Town motivated if the reasons you do it are selfish.

2. Be active, and always give your thoughts whenever you can. If you can't be on actively, I expect you to address a LOT of shit when you come back. I don't care if you're more extraverted and you like posting every 10 minutes, or if you're more introverted, and you post when you've read and caught up, addressing everything while you were gone. As long as you're not inactive AND you're not posting useless crap, we'll get along fine.

3. Mislynches are bad. I do not lynch people off of a gut read. If someone is scum, present a compelling case, or you'll have me to deal with. Team Evil will be constantly trying to convince us that one of our less skilled Town members are scummy enough to lynch. Even if their plays look bad, check to see if the reasoning to kill those players are also bad. With three Town likely to die each night, just from Scum killing us, we need to be smart about who we lynch, so that means holding people accountable for poor judgments of others. It is better to No Lynch, than lynch blindly- killing a 4th Townie on top of night kills.

4. Arguments where you attack the player instead of attacking their points are not compelling cases.
With that all out of the way, let's have a fun game.
