Yeah, but same could be said for the town. Kmenx just straight up asked for an Escort to RB him.

Okay, James. Here, I'm leveling with you.

Three possibilities:

1) You are actually Vigilante.
There is a WITCH, confirmed, guaranteed. Chances of Witch are 100%. If you are Vig, you dun goofd hardcore, ensuring the Witch WILL control you. So you need to ask for Escort/Marshal RIGHT AWAY to avoid your being easily fucking controlled.

2) You are actually Veteran, trying to Vet bait.
There is STILL A WITCH, confirmed, guaranteed. You can have townies controlled onto you. You're trying, I guess, to kill a Witch who tries to control you? I don't know, but there's just as much chance that the Witch controls someone ONTO you, and you also kill an Escort/Marshal or both. If you're Vet, you CANNOT alert without putting several town members in danger.

3) You're neither. You're scum making an idiot gambit.
Say nothing in that case.

James, you're really fucking town over if you don't speak up here.

I just didn t think it was a vet bait because

Who tries a vet bait by claiming vig at Day fucking one

This is the day people are claiming survivor transporter spy or town powers for the lulz

Just as likely that our protectives/escort would be dim enough. Have to be full on damage control at this point, rather than looking for best possible outcome.

I mean, best case, James is Witch, and is hoping that a CC will show up today so he can control them.

First serious vocaroo. Yay.

http://vocaroo.com/i/s1pQi6nk0Q20

My first instinct is to trust others' meta reads, but there's this problem that last time I did that I was just getting scum A to confirm that scum B was dumb enough to be town. I can't make that mistake twice. I need to find new ones to make this game.

James, why the fuck did you claim Vig day 1? We can't even lynch you for safety. Are you Donald Trump, just wandering around shouting things without a plan, unaware of what's going on around you, and whose plans you might be jeopardizing? One difference -- I wouldn't vote for Trump even if I could.

Okay, TrueGent, in this instance I'll at least hear you out. What's the best town option here? Do we try to have people on James (assuming we even have an Escort or Marshal)? Do we ignore the problem and hope it goes away? Do we press James for a clarification, to come out as Vet if that's his true role? How should this be handled?

I personally don't like the idea of having him be a secret Vet and just hoping that we have fewer dumb people on town as we do on mafia. That's not something I'd like to risk.

You must be scum, town wouldn't point out a vetbait. I'm going to shoot you night two unless you give a good defense.

James, no one is going to hang a fucking Vigilante claim on the day they claim, you need to stop being terrible if you want to stop being mislynched, not continue to be terrible.

I've been lynched as sheriff and bodygaurd. I wouldn't put it past the town to lynch me as vigilante.

Escort would be scared away.

Pedit: stop talking to me James, lynching a sheriff or a BG claim is not the same as lynching a Vig claim you moron

Again, guaranteed Witch. NO guaranteed Marshal or Escort. So, which is worse? A mislynch, or a Vigilante being controlled by a GUARANTEED WITCH to attack another town member? Which one hurts the town more? At least from a mislynch (one town death) we would gain information we would not through the Witch.

So your reason is shit. That's like shooting your children because you don't want them to be bullied at school.

If we were worried you were going to kill a bunch of town members, sure. Again, I'm trying to unpack your claim and do some damage control. I apparently gave you too much credit, my bad.

The Witch can make you shoot someone Night 1, even though you can't do it alone.

Are you telling me you made this idiot claim without understanding the Witch/Vig interaction? Should I pretend to be surprised? Jesus christ.

James has the reputation of doing this unbelievable stuff without thinking(e.g cc-ing me, vet claim in NFM 5), so he could be telling the truth.

It could be a gambit of sorts, as scum I could see him doing it to pull our resources onto him and play defensively. I need more time and information to see if this is true or not.

Right now, I'm going to assume James is the Vigilante and incredibly dumb. We need everyone on him to avoid a murder. I repeat, everyone.
