I don't want to call him out or anything, but usually when I'm mafia 1-2 of my allies purposely townslip, I don't see neutrals ever doing it, and town do occasionally do it, but yeah.(Plus I do it as scum as well )

This thread needs a reread cause it was derailed on page 2. Also because I've mostly just been reading it being angry at James for his dumbass claim. I'll be keeping up for another 40 minutes or so but won't have any reads for another 10-11 hours or so.

Incidentally I've updated my "all-star" cast of FM players. Retral, move over, James needs some room.

I'm seriously starting to think James has more potential to destroy this town than the Mafia and NK combined. And I'm not even joking. His posts make me so angry I'd shoot him myself if I were a vig just to make everything stop. I mean, if you suck at FM, at least try to listen to other people who DON'T suck at FM and learn from them (like I am trying to do, instead of YOLO-ing and dragging my entire team down with me because I suck at this).

But that said, obviously we can't lynch him without proof that he's scum (me saying I'm considering it was me being bitter and sarcastic). Honestly, I'd consider myself lucky if someone decided to kill James tonight. But if not, lynching without proof of him being scum would be almost as retarded as James's hardclaim. That said, I'm not excluding the possibility of James being scum. If he can do something as stupid as this as Town, he can definitely do something as stupid as this as scum.

Ah. Fair. Mafia had a daychat in the NFM where Mroz claimed Spy. I read them discussing his impending claim. I figured it would be the same here, but I've been told by Arc that this is not the case.

On mechanics/typical high percentage plays I'll bow to the wisdom of the more experienced. On reads, though, I'm going to have to make my own mistakes, because the alternative is being led by the nose again, and that's just embarrassing.

Look, I believe James. Whether his claim is real or, unlikely, manufactured, the reactions he's been generating so far are p. okay. Not supporting the other content of his posts (dude, assuming an all-knowing townie stance or manufacturing a pr equivalent doesn't help and just encourages a) sheeping and b) people getting pissy, opinion dependent), but rather his claim and its intentions.

Elastiod, I still don't understand why it's best to assign a lookout on you if James is an option. We have the possibility to confirm escorts/witches/prots/lookouts via James or, if there is a lookout with competence, to do their own thing.

You forgot (didn't know?) that the Witch could control you N1. You forget (don't know?) that the Bomber can fuse me n1 and it'll last if you shoot me n2. You forgot (didn't know?) that your being MAYBE mislynched would be less a disaster for Town than your being controlled to shoot a target, and you just ensured that as long as you and the Witch are still alive, you have to be 100% of what town focuses on right now. Please slow down. You can't take your posts back, so try not to go all crazy. At least make sure you have the mechanics right before you start trying to make town plans for everyone.
